This month for our “Every action matters: VIDES International network around the world”, we introduce you to the VIDES Poland group which undertakes a huge variety of activities for children, youth and adults, not only in Poland but also abroad.
For instance, throughout the year, volunteers took part in training meetings, summer activities for children and fundraising initiatives in support of missionary work around the world.
Among the group’s ongoing initiatives are the online “Salesian Missionary Good Nights”, which bring together members of VIDES Poland, volunteers and benefactors. These meetings offer an opportunity to learn about the daily life of missionaries in Salesian works, helping to awaken the missionary spirit and, for some participants, supporting their discernment of a missionary vocation.
Spiritual workshops are also ongoing activities conducted by this group, either as weekend workshops or as regular workshops. This activity responds to the search for spirituality, meaning and silence youth and adults look for, while also creating a sense of community and belonging in which participants strive to live according to shared values.
Furthermore, VIDES Poland continues to create spaces for volunteering, formation, missionary awareness and community building, responding to the needs at local, national and international level.
