We would like to share a very important announcement. For the first time in the 32-year history of the shelter, we will have one day per week when we are closed to the public. This change is necessitated by changing demands and workload, and it is the only way that we will be able to provide the best care not only for the cats, but also the volunteers.
We know that you will all understand and support this change, as you have always stood by us. Having one day when there is no need to rush, cleaning can be done more thoroughly, the small projects that there is never time for can be accomplished, and the volunteers can actually have some quality time with the cats, which is essential for their well-being, is all priceless. There will still be the same volunteers who have always been there with the cats for the full day but we will be closed to all visitors.
Effective Monday 23 March we will be closed on Mondays. The update has already been made on our website (thank you to our volunteer Sofia Web who works behind the scenes to keep our website up and running!) and we’ve submitted the change to Google.
The schedule will now be:
Open Tuesday through Sunday from 12 noon to 4:30pm
Closed on Mondays 🧹🪣
Holiday closures: 6 January and 15 March

Desideriamo condividere con voi un annuncio molto importante. Per la prima volta nei 32 anni di storia del rifugio, saremo chiusi al pubblico un giorno alla settimana. Questo cambiamento si rende necessario a causa delle mutate esigenze e del carico di lavoro, ed è l'unico modo per poter garantire la migliore assistenza non solo ai gatti, ma anche ai volontari.
Sappiamo che comprenderete e sosterrete questa decisione, come avete sempre fatto. Avere un giorno in cui non c'è fretta, in cui le pulizie possono essere effettuate in modo più accurato e si possono portare a termine quei piccoli progetti per i quali non c'è mai tempo, consentendo al contempo ai volontari di trascorrere finalmente un po' di tempo qualitativamente rilevante con i gatti, essenziale per il loro benessere, è di cruciale importanza. Quegli stessi volontari saranno comunque presenti al gattile, che però resterà chiuso a tutti i visitatori.
A partire da lunedì 23 marzo, saremo quindi chiusi il lunedì. L'aggiornamento è già stato effettuato sul nostro sito web (con ringraziamento speciale alla nostra volontaria Sofia Web, che lavora dietro le quinte per mantenerlo sempre attivo!), e abbiamo già inoltrato la modifica a Google.
Il nuovo orario di apertura sarà il seguente:
Aperto da martedì a domenica dalle 12:00 alle 16:30
Chiuso il lunedì 🧹🪣
Chiusura per festività: 6 gennaio e 15 marzo
