The Chibagok Cultural Club successfully organized a Cleaning Drive Programme on 29 August 2026 at Chibagok Playground, with the aim of promoting cleanliness, environmental awareness, and active community participation.
The programme was sponsored by the District Administration, North Garo Hills, under the Chief Minister’s Youth Development Scheme.
A total of 53 participants, including youths, club members, village elders, and Sordars, took part in the programme and contributed towards the success of the initiative.
The programme was chaired by Shri Bron Sangma, while Mr. J.K. Marak delivered the welcome address. Shri Lukendro Momin, President of Chibagok, spoke on the importance of cooperation with society, emphasizing the role of collective responsibility in building a stronger and cleaner community.
Mr. Changrik Sangma, President of A·we Pedallars, addressed the gathering on the importance of cleanliness in the village, highlighting the need for proper waste management, responsible disposal of plastic, and maintaining a healthy environment.
The cleaning drive aimed to raise public awareness about cleanliness and plastic pollution while encouraging community members to take collective responsibility for protecting the environment and keeping our surroundings clean.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Shri Clement Marak, President of Chibagok Locality, who expressed sincere gratitude to the District Administration, organizers, participants, and all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.
