Puntalazzo sede di progetto ERASMUS
Dal 10 al 19 maggio col patrocinio del comune di Mascali e Proloco Puntalazzo APS, La pietra antica O’ munti è sede di progetto ERASMUS.
Col progetto ERASMUS K152 “Stories of unity - acting together” seguito dall’associazione OUROBOROS di Catania, il nostro territorio sta ospitando per dieci giorni, presso il turismo rurale La pietra antica O’ munti in Puntalazzo, oltre 30 giovani europei provenienti da Estonia, Grecia, Italia, Romania, Spagna, Serbia.
Col patrocinio del comune di Mascali e della Proloco Puntalazzo APS, l’Associazione, attraverso questo progetto, vuole creare un'esperienza di apprendimento significativa in cui i giovani non si limitano a riflettere su diversità e inclusione ma mettono in pratica attivamente questi valori in un ambiente sicuro e creativo vivendo il ns territorio. Il progetto, fra le altre cose, prevede la realizzazione di un musical che i ragazzi creeranno durante questo periodo sfruttando gli spazi sia interni che esterni del Turismo Rurale.
I giovani, subito dopo il check-in, hanno ricevuto il benvenuto a Puntalazzo dalla Proloco Puntalazzo APS che ha offerto loro un assaggio di prodotti tipici del territorio: pane locale con olio del territorio ed origano dell’Etna, fettine di limoni freschi, acqua e limone che sono stati davvero molto apprezzati sia per i sapori e profumi che per la tipicità. Al ristorante, giornalmente degustano alcuni piatti tipici del turismo rurale oltre a conoscerne e viverne una parte della storia e tradizioni.
Ai fini culturali per l’importanza storica che ha, i ragazzi conosceranno nei dettagli il funzionamento dell’antico palmento di Puntalazzo e del suo torchio che sarà illustrato dal Presidente della locale Proloco.
Il giorno 18 maggio mattina, a La pietra antica O’ munti, i giovani partecipanti al progetto faranno la prova generale del musical prodotto che sarà messo in scena al teatro “De Curtis” via Duca degli Abruzzi, Catania lo stesso giorno alle ore 18. Chi volesse partecipare alla prova generale può farlo.

Puntalazzo hosts ERASMUS project
From May 10th to 19th, under the patronage of the Municipality of Mascali and Proloco Puntalazzo APS, La pietra antica O’ munti is hosting an ERASMUS project.
With the ERASMUS K152 project "Stories of unity - acting together," supported by the OUROBOROS association of Catania, our area is hosting over 30 young Europeans from Estonia, Greece, Italy, Romania, Spain, and Serbia at the rural tourism center La pietra antica O’ munti in Puntalazzo for ten days.
Under the patronage of the Municipality of Mascali and Proloco Puntalazzo APS, the Association, through this project, aims to create a meaningful learning experience in which young people not only reflect on diversity and inclusion, but actively put these values into practice in a safe and creative environment, experiencing our region. The project, among other things, includes the production of a musical that the students will create during this period, taking advantage of both the indoor and outdoor spaces of the Rural Tourism Center.
Immediately after checking in, the students were welcomed to Puntalazzo by the Proloco Puntalazzo APS, which offered them a taste of typical local products: local bread with local oil and Etna oregano, fresh lemon slices, and lemon water, which were truly appreciated both for their flavors and aromas and for their uniqueness. At the restaurant, they will sample some typical rural tourism dishes daily, as well as learning about and experiencing part of its history and traditions.
For cultural purposes, given its historical importance, the students will learn in detail how the ancient Puntalazzo palmento and its press work, which will be explained by the President of the local Proloco.
On the morning of May 18th, at La pietra antica O' munti, the young participants in the project will hold a dress rehearsal for the musical they've produced, which will be performed at the "De Curtis" theater on Via Duca degli Abruzzi, Catania, the same day at 6:00 PM.
