Peek-A-Boo Youth Exchange introduces Peak-A-Moment Interviews 🎤📹

On Day 10 of the project, participants paired up to interview each other and reflect on their journey so far. In this video, you’ll hear their answers about their favourite moments, what inspired them, the organisations they volunteered with, the insights they gained, and the things they’ll carry with them beyond this Youth Exchange.

Their answers offer a snapshot of the experience: the moments of building trust, finding courage, creating friendships, showing empathy, and stepping outside their comfort zones. 💛

DAY 7 Paint it Green TC | Future Planning & Farewell 🎨🌍

📅 Day 7, the final full day of our “Paint it Green” Training Course, was dedicated to reflecting on our growth, planning for the future, and celebrating our journey together! 🚀

🗺️ We started the morning with “Group Competence Mapping.” Working collaboratively in mixed groups, we reflected on the ETS competences we developed throughout the week. After rotating through different areas, we gathered with our national teams to refine our communication messages and turn them into concrete action plans. We engaged in an immediate activation moment—making calls, drafting emails, and posting online right then and there to kickstart initiatives in our local communities!

🤝 The late morning shifted into a dedicated “Networking” space. Using the NGO flipcharts created earlier in the week, we mapped out potential professional collaborations. Through a dynamic system of white and yellow cards, we connected our organizations, built partnerships, and shared resources for upcoming projects, turning ideas into concrete cooperation.

🫂 The afternoon brought us to our final administrative tasks and heartfelt “Closing Circles.” To wrap up the training on a warm and forward-looking note, we played “The Oracle.” We matched random written answers to unknown questions drawn from a jar in the center of our circle, creating moments that ranged from absolutely hilarious to unexpectedly revelatory!

✨ We closed out this incredible week by shedding the accumulated energy, looking toward the future, and celebrating together at our farewell party night. What a transformative and inspiring experience this has been! 🌍

DAY 6 Paint it Green TC | The Stage is Yours! 🎨🌍

📅 Day 6 of the “Paint it Green” Training Course was a major milestone: it was time for our participants to step up and become the trainers! 🚀

🛠️ We started the morning with a final “Workshop Preparation” session. Groups finalized their aims, flow, and roles, making sure their methods and materials perfectly aligned with their chosen GreenComp competences and target audiences before going live.

🎤 Then, the main event began! Across the rest of the day, all six groups delivered their Participant-Led Workshops. We inverted roles, turning the training room into a safe “playground” where ideas could be tested and brought to life.

🌟 The variety and creativity were mind-blowing! We participated in an immersive role-play on greenwashing, an engaging trivia game, a slow-fashion journey tracing the lifecycle of clothing, a speculative solarpunk activity, and a hands-on workshop on creatively reusing kitchen waste. It was amazing to see how everyone integrated heavy visual aids and gamified elements into their sessions, truly putting the week’s learnings into practice!

🗣️ Each 60-minute workshop was followed by a 30-minute collective debrief, providing a rich space for constructive professional and peer feedback. We wrapped up this high-energy, incredibly satisfying day by gathering in our Reflection Crews.

Il progetto invita a rallentare, osservare il proprio rapporto con la tecnologia e sperimentare modi più sani di vivere il digitale attraverso mindfulness, movimento, gioco e attività nella natura.

DAY 5 Paint it Green TC | Visual Psychology & Workshop Design 🎨🌍

📅 On Day 5 of the “Paint it Green” Training Course we talked about critical visual analysis and designing our own learning experiences

👁️ We started the morning diving into “Visual Psychology,” where we explored how visual elements influence attention and audience perception in digital campaigns. Our discussion took a critical turn as we analyzed “greenwashing,” looking at real examples of how specific visual and communication choices can make a product appear more sustainable than it really is.

🃏 Before lunch, we were introduced to the EU Scaffold card deck, a powerful tool for designing competence-based learning. Working in six groups, we used a central “buffet” table of cards to choose GreenComp competences, target audiences, and teaching methods. This structured process helped us design our own one-hour participant-led mini-workshops for Day 6.

🛠️ The entire afternoon was dedicated to workshop preparation in an open, participant-led “tool fair” format. We took ownership of our designs while the full trainer team remained available on demand to offer expert support in sustainability, graphic facilitation, and youth work practice. We closed the day with structured check-ins with the facilitators to ensure our workshop plans were feasible, aligned with the format, and fully resourced with markers, paper, and printouts!

We were excited to deliver our workshops the next day! 🚀

🎬 From volunteering to sharing our stories! 🌍💙

To close our PEEK-A-BOO Youth Exchange, we brought all our volunteering experiences together in one special public event, organised alongside Jonian Dolphin Conservation .

The event brought together local volunteering organisations for a shared debrief, where we exchanged experiences, ideas, and reflections on the impact of volunteering in the community.

🎥 The highlight of the evening was the screening of the short films created by our participants, capturing their experiences and the messages they wanted to share.

But it didn’t stop at watching! Each national team presented their volunteering experience and invited the audience to take part in small activities inspired by what they had learned along the way. 🎭🎶🌱

It was an evening full of stories, participation, creativity, and connection — bringing together our participants, local organisations, and the wider community. 💛

A huge thank you to and all the organisations who joined us and helped make this final celebration possible!

DAY 10 Peek-A-Boo YE | Reflection, Evaluation & Farewell 👀💡

📅 The final chapter of an incredible journey! Day 10 of the “Peek-A-Boo” Youth Exchange was filled with deep reflections, future plans, and heartfelt goodbyes. 🚀

🎡 After breakfast, we kicked off the morning reflecting on yesterday’s big public event and mapped our overall growth through “The Volunteer Wheel,” looking back at how far we’ve come since Day 1.

📢 Post-lunch, our focus shifted toward the future! We worked on our Dissemination Plans to ensure the impact of this project reaches far beyond our time here, followed by a thorough Project Evaluation to share our feedback and celebrate our collective achievements.

⭕ In the late afternoon, we gathered for our final Reflection Groups to wrap up our learning logs. We then moved into a touching closing ceremony where we held “The Lollipop” moment, allowing us to say goodbye, express gratitude, and pass around heartfelt appreciation to everyone who made this exchange unforgettable.

🫂 Though the project has officially come to an end, the memories, friendships, and skills we’ve built will stay with us forever!

DAY 4 Paint it Green TC | Thinking Hats & Exploring the Outside World 🧠 🌿

📅 Day 4 of the “Paint it Green” Training Course challenged us to adapt our communication and step outside to observe sustainability in the real world! 🚀

🧠 We started the morning with the “4 Thinking Hats” session, using the four GreenComp competence clusters as a structured lens to communicate climate issues to specific youth audiences. Working in groups with character cards representing diverse youth—such as online gamers, rural youth, and young entrepreneurs—we discovered that adapting our message is a genuine communication challenge. Through our debriefing, we found that the “Acting for Sustainability” hat was consistently the hardest to apply across almost all groups.

🗣️ Before lunch, we dove into the “Anatomy of a Good Explanation” by collaboratively deconstructing a deliberately poor, jargon-heavy explanation of greenhouse gases. After identifying what makes an explanation fail, we each crafted our own 150-200 word explanation tailored to a specific audience. We then tested our success by reading them aloud to peers from different groups, challenging them to guess our target demographic just from listening!

🚶‍♀️ The afternoon was all about field research with a two-part “Sustainability Walk.” We explored our local surroundings, collecting examples of sustainability practices and examining how visual communication either supports or weakens those messages.

A day full of smiles, energy, and new connections. 💙

During the PEEK-A-BOO Youth Exchange 🇪🇺✨, our participants spent time volunteering at ABFO Taranto , meeting children from difficult backgrounds and joining them in a variety of playful activities.

Together with the support of the monitors, they shared games, energizers, songs, and moments of creativity that brought everyone together. It was a beautiful experience where language and cultural differences disappeared through laughter and play.

🎥 This video was created by the participants themselves. Thank you for your creativity, positive energy, and for capturing the emotions and memories of this special day.

We would like to express our gratitude to ABFO Taranto and all the monitors for their collaboration and dedication. Your work made it possible for our participants to experience the power of inclusion, connection, and learning through non-formal activities. 💛
