📣 Goletta Catholica was one of the venues for the 3rd UNESCO MAB World Youth Forum.

📍Aboard the historic vessel, transformed into a modern floating laboratory for environmental education and biodiversity research, delegates experienced a new approach to scientific dissemination based on immersive experiences, experiments, research, and sustainable development initiatives.

⚓️ The schooner Goletta Catholica is at the Salone Nautico Venezia available for a visit until May 31.

Closing Ceremony of the 3rd Global MAB Youth Forum.💚

After five intense days of dialogue, working groups, field visits, exchanges and shared experiences across the Po Delta and Euganean Hills Biosphere Reserves, the 3rd Global MAB Youth Forum officially came to an end.

More than 200 young delegates from 109 countries came together to build connections, share perspectives and contribute to a common vision for the future of Biosphere Reserves and local communities worldwide. 🌿

The Forum concludes with a shared Declaration, a global Roadmap for 2026–2035 and renewed commitments towards biodiversity conservation, climate action, inclusive governance and youth participation within the UNESCO MAB Programme.

Thank you to all the young delegates, organizers, institutions, local communities, facilitators, the media team and everyone who made this extraordinary international experience possible. 🌍

Final day of the 3rd Global MAB Youth Forum.

This morning at the Rosolina Mare Congress Centre, participants came together to reflect on the ideas and proposals developed throughout the week, working collectively on the Forum’s Declaration and Roadmap. 🌍

A moment of dialogue, collaboration and vision before the Closing Ceremony.

Yesterday participants of the 3rd Global MAB Youth Forum took part in different field trips across the Po Delta Biosphere Reserve, discovering the territory through history, culture, nature and local traditions. 🌳

From the archaeological area and Cultural Tourist Centre of San Basilio to the landscapes of Porto Tolle along the Po River, young delegates explored the relationship between people and the environment, the evolution of the Delta, its ecosystems and traditions linked to agriculture and aquaculture.

The programme also included bicycle tours, encounters with local ocarina artisans and concluded at the Santa Giulia Scardovari DOP Mussel Festival, dedicated to one of the territory’s iconic gastronomic products. 🍝

🌿This morning, across the different locations of Rosolina Mare, Taglio di Po, Ar**no nel Polesine, Porto Viro and Porto Tolle, young delegates worked side by side in small groups, sharing ideas, experiences and perspectives on the future of the MAB Youth Network, its governance and youth engagement within Biosphere Reserves.

Encounters, exchanges and new connections across the Euganean Hills Biosphere Reserve.

Throughout yesterday’s activities, young delegates from Biosphere Reserves around the world shared experiences, perspectives and ideas while discovering the landscapes, communities and cultural heritage of Battaglia Terme, Cervarese Santa Croce, Este, Monselice, Montegrotto Terme and Teolo.🌼

The visit became an opportunity to experience firsthand how biodiversity, local identity, sustainable tourism and community involvement can grow together within a shared vision for the future.

Today participants of the 3rd Global MAB Youth Forum explored the Euganean Hills Biosphere Reserve through thematic activities hosted across symbolic places of the territory.

From the historical heritage of Battaglia Terme, Cervarese Santa Croce, Este, Monselice, Montegrotto Terme and Teolo to natural landscapes, museums, castles, thermal environments and biodiversity-rich ecosystems, young delegates discovered the richness and diversity of the Euganean Hills. 🌱

The initiative offered an opportunity to showcase the integrated model developed in the Biosphere Reserve, where biodiversity protection, cultural heritage, sustainable tourism and local communities coexist in balance.
