Rotary protocol is often perceived as ceremony. But its deeper function is to create a shared language of respect, recognition and belonging across generations, cultures and leadership roles.

June is Pride Month.

A time to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, to recognise the courage, resilience and achievements of those who have too often faced exclusion, discrimination and prejudice, and to reaffirm our commitment to a world where everyone can live authentically and with dignity.

Pride is not only about identity. It is about belonging. It is about creating communities where every person feels seen, valued and respected. It is about standing alongside those whose voices have been marginalised and working together to build a more inclusive future.

As Rotarians, we believe that our differences enrich our communities and strengthen our ability to serve. By embracing diversity, fostering understanding and promoting respect, we create the conditions for people to thrive and for communities to grow stronger.

What happens when people feel they truly belong?

At the 2026 Rotary International Convention in Taipei, our President, Mavi , will join Becky ( ) and Bec ( ) for a conversation on how Rotary can continue to evolve by reimagining club models and creating more inclusive, flexible and meaningful communities.

Together, they will share different experiences and perspectives, united by a common belief: when people find a place where they are valued, heard and empowered, extraordinary things happen.

What does it mean to build resilient communities? 🌍�

For us, it means creating spaces where science, education and local communities come together to turn awareness into action.�
Through Building Resilient Communities, a joint initiative by Rotary Club Global ROOTS and Rotary Club Ischia Isola Verde supporting the EU-funded MEDiME project, we are working to strengthen knowledge and preparedness around hydrogeological risks.�

Because resilience is not only about reacting to emergencies - it is about building cultures of prevention, responsibility and collective care. 💙💛🌱�

Some conversations are not easy, but they are necessary.

On April 28th at 21:00 (CET), we will be joined by Isotta Rossoni, criminologist, s*xuality educator, TEDx speaker, and expert on gender-based violence.

With a background spanning research, fieldwork, and international organisations, Isotta brings a unique perspective on the intersections of migration, s*x work, and trafficking, grounded in both academic depth and real-world impact.

✨ It starts with us.

Before communities.
Before systems.
Before change.

Last week in Caserta (and online), we came together for a workshop on Peacebuilding & Conflict Prevention—and we started from the most important place:
👉 ourselves

We didn’t just talk about conflict.
We stepped into it.

Through real-life simulations, we explored what really happens in our clubs:
• things left unsaid
• tensions under the surface
• moments where we choose silence

And one truth emerged:
📊 most of us have held back from saying something we felt was important

But something shifted.

From avoiding…
to listening
From reacting…
to understanding
From silence…
to action

Participants left with:
✔️ more confidence to speak up
✔️ practical tools
✔️ one concrete step to bring back to their club

Because creating lasting change doesn’t start somewhere else.

It starts here.
It starts now.
