🌐 www.goodguys-noprofit.com “Good Guys in Bad Lands” was born in the mind of a soldier, in 2012, as a page. The social media page stemmed from his memories of a mission to Bala Murghab, Afghanistan, during a firefight with insurgents, a fellow soldier lost his young life, and another seriously injured. Strongly affected by his
experience, the founder created one of the first military related fan-pages dedicated to the memory of all the fallen soldiers. As his first foray into the social media world, he sought to use this platform as a mean to bring to the attention of the web users the sacrifices of deployed soldiers worldwide, simultaneously garnering the deserved respect and appreciation for these “Good Guys in Bad Lands.”
By 2019, the page’s following worldwide had grown exponentially, and helped forge a cultural non-profit association, “Good Guys in Bad Lands”. It’s based on the comradery, solidarity, and brotherhood for soldiers and civilians in the security and defense sector, holding to its creed that “No Operator Will Be Left Alone.”
Who are the Good Guys? They are operators who have relied on each other to do their jobs to the best of their ability every day and at all times. Love for the Country, Respect for the Institutions, and Solidarity towards all Brothers in Arms, are the necessary skills required to embrace the credo and the goals of this association. Purpose
Their purpose is to create a strategic and cohesive link with the supporting institutions, at the same time giving all due respect and appreciation to the uniformed men and women who serve their countries and fellow citizens. Likewise, the Good Guys promote awareness of the soldiers’ invisible wounds and an education in the values of an elite brotherhood, “no operator will be left alone by the community or country”.
