Can a peripheral region become one of Europe’s most innovative laboratories for sustainable agri-food development?

On 17 June in Brussels, Sicily will showcase how European cooperation, research, innovation and local communities can work together to create real solutions for the future of the Mediterranean.

From precision agriculture and agricultural robotics to climate adaptation, social inclusion and biodiversity valorisation, the event “Sicily – Europe – Mediterranean” will bring together representatives of the European Commission, FAO, academia and international organisations to discuss the next generation of territorial development models.

Because the future of the Mediterranean will not be built by isolated projects, but by the connections between them.

Proud of you Ana!!!! 🫶

Sometimes Erasmus+ projects become much more than meetings, workshops and activities. Sometimes they become a space where people truly find each other ❤️

Today, during our online meeting of the DEAP project, we received some very sad news - our wonderful Ana will soon no longer continue this journey with us. And honestly… it is hard to imagine DEAP without her.

Ana has always been much more than a project partner. She has been a source of kindness, warmth, support and positive energy. A person who was always there to help, listen, encourage and make everyone around her feel valued and understood. Through every challenge, every discussion and every beautiful moment of this project, she brought not only professionalism, but also friendship and heart.

People like Ana leave something special behind them everywhere they go - memories, inspiration, laughter and the feeling that this international partnership truly became a family 🌍❤️

Dear Ana,
thank you for every conversation, every smile, every moment of support and every piece of yourself that you shared with us. We are incredibly grateful that DEAP brought us together.

This week, at the Monumental Complex of Steri in Palermo, the MARE – Mediterranean Alliance for Research and Education project comes to a close. Among university vice-chancellors, academics and European officials, PRISM is the only non-university organisation invited to contribute — in the session dedicated to sustainable tourism and European project planning.

This is a recognition that we are delighted to receive, and one that clearly reflects the role we wish to play in these areas.

We are delighted to announce that the AI in ADU Multiplier Event was successfully held on April 16th, organized by our partner PRISM Impresa Sociale. The event saw a fantastic turnout, bringing together a diverse group of students, teachers, and technical experts to explore the future of education.

During the session, we were proud to present the full range of project resources, encouraging all attendees to make use of the project website where these materials will be available for free download in the future. We showcased specific guides and tools tailored for both self-taught learners and educators, leading to a very interesting and interactive discussion on the immense potential of Artificial Intelligence as a tool for self-regulated learning.

Given the project's significant focus on linguistic development, we were particularly pleased to welcome several tourism classes. These students, who are currently mastering English, French, and Spanish, joined language teachers from various disciplines to see firsthand how AI can support their studies. The feedback was exceptional, and we are thrilled with the enthusiasm shown by everyone involved.

A huge thank you to all participants for making this event a top-tier success!

Il 9 maggio celebriamo molto più di una semplice ricorrenza: celebriamo un’idea di Europa fondata su pace, collaborazione e futuro condiviso.

Una giornata che ricorda quanto l’unione tra i popoli europei abbia reso possibile crescita, opportunità e diritti per milioni di cittadini.

Tutto ebbe inizio il 9 maggio 1950, con la storica dichiarazione di Robert Schuman: un momento che ha cambiato il corso della storia europea, gettando le basi per un continente unito, stabile e prospero.

Oggi celebriamo i valori che continuano ad avvicinarci ogni giorno: solidarietà, dialogo e cooperazione 🇪🇺✨
