Regular physical activity can make a huge difference in people’s lives. Just 150 minutes of movement per week can help prevent millions of chronic diseases by 2050. At the same time, sport has been shown to reduce symptoms of depression in young people by up to 25%. But the impact goes beyond health. Across Europe, physical inactivity costs around $80.4 billion every year, while grassroots sport contributes significantly to communities and supports millions of jobs.
At Youth Social Act, we believe sport is more than competition. It’s a powerful tool for inclusion, wellbeing, and resilience. Our aim is simple:
✨ Promote mental wellbeing through physical activity
✨ Make sport accessible to every young person
✨ Turn sport and healthy lifestyles into drivers of positive community change

Building inclusive communities means making sure that every young person feels welcomed, respected, and able to participate fully in social life. Diversity is a strength, and when we create spaces where everyone belongs, communities grow stronger together.
Another priority addressed by Youth Social Act project is Social Inclusion and Integration, participants will work to:
✨ create spaces where young people can meet and connect beyond differences
✨ encourage confidence, dialogue, and mutual understanding
✨ support participation from youth with different backgrounds and experiences
✨ promote inclusion as a key value in community life

‼️Online Training Workshop for YouthSocialAct Mentors
The Youth Social Act - Youth Participation In Democratic Life At Local Level Project provided the opportunity, on 27th March 2026, to 50 Youth Mentors from Cyprus, Greece, Italy, France and Portugal to participate at the Online Training Workshop "YouthSocialAct Mentoring of Youth Ambassadors".
⭐️The aim of the online Training Workshop was to present best practices for mentoring, communication skills, and supporting youth engagement during the YouthSocialAct Ambassadors Programme.
☀️During the workshop Youth Mentors became familiar with the Mentoring utilized in youth work, understanding the roles and expectations of Youth Mentors, as well as practices and methods on how to act as a Youth Mentor in the project.
The Youth Social Act project promotes and encourages alternative forms of active social and civic youth participation activities in democratic life, at local level, by supporting youth initiatives co-designed, co-created and implement developed by young people for young people with fewer opportunities.
