FORMA URBIS | 📣🎨Call for Artists 📣🎨
Forma Urbis prosegue il percorso curatoriale avviato nel 2025 con Forma Abitata, sviluppandone idealmente la riflessione sulla forma e sullo spazio.
Se “Forma Abitata” interrogava il rapporto tra opera, presenza e spazio vissuto, “Forma Urbis” sposta lo sguardo verso la città: Roma, luogo che accoglie e attraversa il progetto, diventa questa volta cornice simbolica e punto di partenza di una nuova esperienza espositiva.
Il titolo richiama volutamente la “Forma Urbis Romae”, la monumentale pianta marmorea della Roma antica: una città restituita attraverso frammenti, segni e stratificazioni. Da questo riferimento nasce l’idea curatoriale della mostra: non ricostruire un’immagine unitaria, ma accogliere linguaggi, ricerche e identità differenti all’interno di uno stesso spazio contemporaneo.
📌 La mostra è a tema libero. Agli artisti non è richiesto di realizzare opere dedicate a Roma né di aderire a uno specifico soggetto iconografico. Forma Urbis non costituisce un vincolo tematico, ma il titolo e la cornice concettuale entro cui le differenti ricerche artistiche sono chiamate a incontrarsi.
Pittura, fotografia, scultura, grafica, arte tessile, gioiello d’artista, installazione e video art concorrono così a comporre una mappa contemporanea fatta di visioni autonome, diverse per provenienza, linguaggio e sensibilità.
🏛️Roma ne è il punto di convergenza.

Forma Urbis continues the curatorial path begun in 2025 with Forma Abitata, further developing its reflection on form and space.
While Forma Abitata explored the relationship between artwork, presence and inhabited space, Forma Urbis shifts its gaze towards the city: Rome, the place that hosts and permeates the project, becomes the symbolic framework and starting point for a new exhibition experience.
The title deliberately refers to the Forma Urbis Romae, the monumental marble plan of ancient Rome: a city revealed through fragments, signs and layers. From this reference emerges the curatorial concept of the exhibition: not to reconstruct a single, unified image, but to bring together different languages, artistic practices and identities within the same contemporary space.
The exhibition has an open theme. Artists are not required to create works dedicated to Rome or to adhere to any specific iconographic subject. Forma Urbis is not intended as a thematic constraint, but rather as the title and conceptual framework within which different artistic practices are invited to encounter one another.
Painting, photography, sculpture, graphic art, textile art, art jewellery, installation and video art thus come together to compose a contemporary map of independent visions, diverse in origin, language and sensibility.
Rome is their point of convergence.
