Song from Capitalism: The Musical.

This play offers an eloquent and heartening perspective on a most critical societal influence - our economic system and the culture it creates.
The musical acts as a rite of passage, inflaming passions in a step of transition from this world to a kinder one.

The goal is to win hearts and open minds; to access a broad cross section of society who feels disenfranchised and disempowered, and to give them food for their souls. A vocabulary of songs, for the anger and the passion and the moments of transition.

🕊️ The musical delivers a message of solidarity, creativity, and the transformation of consciousness - inviting a more beautiful world.

It touches lightly but emphatically on issues including homelessness, income precariarity, the military industrial complex, corruption, use of violence, whistleblowing, heroism, and the power of love. It invites the weird and the surreal, and the power of women's wisdom through the ages.

Deirdre Murphy is a force to be reckoned with in the world of music and performance, with her unique form of gig theatre - a rich tapestry of songs, contemporary movement improvisation and choreography, and sci-fi spoken word. Her work has featured on RTE Radio One’s playlists and showcased on notable shows such as Ronan Collins, John Creedon, and Late Date with Cathal Murray. With more than 65 radio stations worldwide playing her music, Deirdre's eclectic style - physical, spiritual, and musical - is leaving a indelible impression on the global music scene.

As an artist who seamlessly integrates music, dance, and theatre with off-the-cuff social commentary, Deirdre's presence comes with a dose of joy and heart. Her work is a journey through the beauty and terrors of human nature, delivered with a light touch and consideration for the soul.

Meet Caoimhe Byrne, the voice that will open our December stage in Dublin!

Starting her live journey at just 13, Caoimhe grew from rock-band stages to performing worldwide as both a solo artist and backing vocalist for Swedish Celtic punk legends Sir Reg.

Her debut single She’s Not Coming Home (released this November) marks only the beginning of a powerful new chapter.
Honest, grounded, emotional — her music feels like a conversation you didn’t know you needed.

We’re honoured to welcome her to The Wild Duck on December 7th.

On December 7th, we’re closing the year with CEOL, an evening of music, movement, stories, and community in support of Emergency NGO.

Rooted in latin american sounds, his music moved like a tide, smooth, vibrant, unexpected and the whole room followed along without even noticing.

There was something magnetic in the way he blended rhythms and moods, creating a set that felt both intimate and expansive.
One of those performances where time softens, and you simply float.

Every city needs a heartbeat and in Valencia, ours is hers!

welcomed everyone, held the space, guided the evening with gentleness, humour, and that quiet strength that can’t be taught.
But more than presenting the night, she’s the reason La Mansarda has roots here at all.

We couldn’t be more grateful for the way she nurtures this space and the people who walk into it. 🙏🏾
