Ghana Nationals Youth Association in Modena, brevemente, GhanaYomo è un'associazione dei giovani Ghanesi residenti nella Provincia di Modena costituita nel Settembre 2014 ed inaugurata il 29 Novembre 2014. Essa è stata un'iniziativa promossa dall'associazione nazionale del Ghana (Modena) ed è la prima associazione dei giovani Ghanesi in Italia gestita dai giovani stessi; perchè finalmente essi pos
sano riunirsi. Riunirsi come occasione per vederci, parlare e discutere su vari temi, dove ognuno può portare le proprie idee per creare una "casa delle idee" e diverse strade per il nostro futuro. Lo scopo dell'associazione è quello di realizzare assieme delle iniziative che siano di tipo sociale, culturale ed educativo in prospettiva di una conoscenza e favorire la crescita delle proprie diverse identità culturali e sociali. Per rappresentare e sostenere i giovani ghanesi nel territorio modenese sopratutto promuovendo una partecipazione attiva nella vita quotidiana di cittadinanza. Per condividere e valorizzare i talenti nascosti di ciascuno. I fondatori dell'associazione sono cinque giovani ragazzi: Samuel Mensah, Henrieta McCarthy, Anthony Bolgo, Joseph Kobina Duncan Sampson e Anderson Ansah Baafi. E' una concreta testimonianza di come le seconde e terze generazioni possano essere un vero motore di sviluppo e coesione sociale nel rispetto dei nostri diritti, valori e caratteristiche riducendo i livelli di diffidenza che si possono creare all'interno della società e quindi promuovendo una cittadinanza interculturale. L'associazione spera ed invita calorosamente ad aiutare e fare in modo di spianare nuove strade e percorsi insieme attraverso i nostri pensieri, opinioni, talenti ed altrettante idee. Ghana Nationals Youth Association in Modena GhanaYomo, is an association of the Ghanaians youth living in the province of Modena, it was constituted in September 2014 and inaugurated on the 29th November 2014. GhanaYomo is an initiative promoted by the Ghana Nationals Association in Modena and it's managed by the youths themselves. At last the ghanaians youth can come together to meet and discuss about different topics and each of us can bring his/her ideas to create a "house of ideas" e many ways for our future. The aim of the association is to achieve together social,cultural and educative initiatives in order to encourage knowledge and the growth of our cultural and social identites. To represent and sustain the ghanaians youth in the territory of Modena especially for an active partecipation in the daily life of citizenship. To share and valorise the hidden talents of each of us. The founders of the association are five: Samuel Mensah, Henrieta McCarthy, Anthony Bolgo, Joseph Kobina Duncan Sampson and Anderson Ansah Baafi. It's a concrete evidence of how the second and third generations can be a true engine of develpment and social cohesion in the respect of our rights, values and characteristics lowering the level of of distrust that can be in the society, so to promote an intercultural citizenship. The association warmly hope and invite to help and make this happen through new paths and ways together sharing our thoughts, opinions, talents and as many ideas.
