(until October 2015), the Municipality and the Chamber of Commerce of Milan as well as the Regional Government of Lombardy. In 2016 the Metropolitan City of Milan joined this group of institutional actors. Prior to, during and aft
er EXPO Milano 2015, the Center has begun to engage in important activities of networking, by listening and dealing with public, private, national and international entities of research, higher education, economics, institutional engagement and solidarity. Thanks to its transversal vocation, the Milan Center for Food Law and Policy has been able to catalyze different subjects and initiatives, becoming a mediator among institutional entities and the private world, profit and non-profit. By doing so, the Center ultimately has been expanding the horizon of its research topics toward the UN Agenda 2030 in the perspective of sustainable development. The MCFLP has embraced the 17 goals quoted on the UN 2030 Agenda - the natural evolution of the Millennium Goals - positioning the end of poverty and hunger as high priorities. The mission of the Milan Center for Food Law and Policy is therefore:
- the development of research and training projects,
- the promotion of events focused on the transversal dimension of the regulation, being the protagonist of the necessary policies and the governance of the changes that mark the horizons of the present and the future.
