Luke is running the Milan Marathon to raise money for Robbie’s Rehab! 🏃‍♂️ LINK IN BIO

Recently, the Robbie’s Rehab ward was opened at Southampton Hospital. It is a world-class facility, specially designed to support children’s rehabilitation in a calm, dedicated environment, using modern technology to help get them home as soon as possible.

Luke’s Story:

The Milan Marathon is a big challenge for me, but it feels worth it knowing I’m supporting something so close to my heart. All donations will go directly to the Robbie’s Rehab fund within Southampton Hospitals Charity. The fund is restricted, meaning every penny goes towards specialist equipment and resources that allow staff to go above and beyond in their care for children.

Ribbon cut and doors open! Delighted to announce the opening of the Robbie’s Rehab paediatric neuro rehabilitation ward at Southampton Children’s Hospital. 🎉

All of our thanks go to the nurses, doctors and therapists who have delivered and will continue to deliver the Robbie’s service so brilliantly - the Hospital Trust Management, Southampton Hospitals Charity and the Child Health Management team.

We salute you all🫡 for your efforts and support over the last ten years. Our special thanks go to the unstoppable Paediatric Neurology Nurse Specialist Shona Mackie whose idea it all was and also to David French, CEO UHS for backing us all the way.

Super excited that Robbie’s hero and his lovely wife Shara stopped by to meet our amazing staff, brave young patients, and their incredible families during the opening week of the Robbie’s Rehab ward.

The brand new 4 bay ward is now OPEN — a calm, peaceful space where children can receive rehabilitation after brain injuries. None of this could have been possible without you — our awesome fundraisers! From cake sales to marathons, you’ve made this happen. THANK YOU! 🙌
