🎓 We brought the stand, you brought the questions.

🤝 On Tuesday 13 October, E4Impact Foundation took part in the Career Day at Universita' Cattolica del Sacro Cuore Milano, with Flavia Griffini Campari and Leonardo Palmieri at the stand.

🙌 It was a chance to tell many students what the Foundation does and how we work every day, and to present the opportunities for an unconventional internship in Africa. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by: for the questions, the curiosity and the genuine interest in what we do. Thanks also to those who left us their CV.

🌍 E4Impact Foundation took part in the All-Stars Youth Innovation Challenge, held during the Agriculture & Food Systems Transformation Summit in Nairobi from 7 to 9 October.

🏆 All four winning enterprises were founded by : Iviani Farm (post-harvest losses), RHEA (soil health), Silo Africa (grain storage) and Yarsi Aqua Cycle (reuse of fish waste). After pitching to the jury, the winners were awarded by President William Ruto at a closing ceremony held at the Jamhuri Show Grounds.

🌱 Congratulations to Faith Mumo, Priscilla Wakarera, Eliud Rugut and Daniela Nairita: their results show what training, coaching, mentorship and investment support can do for young agri-entrepreneurs.

🤝 The summit brought together government representatives, farmers, businesses, researchers, development partners and innovators to advance Kenya’s agricultural transformation under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA). During the event, E4Impact was represented by David Cheboryot, Head of East Africa, and by the project team led by Wekesa Elijah and Joy Njoroge.

💯 Celebrating 25 Ghanaian entrepreneurs ready to make an impact!

🎓 Last Friday, the graduation ceremony for the 10th edition of the E4Impact Global MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship & Innovation took place at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).

👉 The ceremony marked not only the completion of an important learning journey, offered by E4Impact in partnership with ALTIS Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and UPSA, but also the beginning of a new chapter for these entrepreneurs, who are now ready to grow their businesses, create jobs, and contribute to the sustainable development of their communities and their country.

🚀 At E4Impact, we believe that entrepreneurs are powerful agents of change. Through their businesses, they can drive innovation, create shared value, and help build a more prosperous and inclusive future.

👏 A special recognition goes to Daniel Afedoh, who was awarded as the best graduating student of his cohort, for his outstanding achievements.

🌍 With the FOSTERING project in Rwanda coming to a close, from 21 to 26 September members of the Italian E4Impact team carried out a monitoring mission in the country, visiting several cooperatives.

🍍 In the Gakenke district, Stefania Meli,Niccolò Minetti and Hausa Lightbourne visited three cooperatives producing pineapples and orange-fleshed sweet potatoes. The project's other cooperatives are located in the Nyabihu district and mainly grow passion fruit.

🤝 After years of work on business modelling, market linkages and entrepreneurial skills development, the cooperatives are leaving the project with stronger foundations in business planning, market linkages and digital access to buyers. Several cooperatives have also signed contracts with buyers in regional markets: the Mataba cooperative, for example, secured a contract to export to Uganda.

📊 The end-of-project results are very positive: 90 Business Model Canvases developed, 45 supply contracts signed between cooperatives and buyers, and all 30 cooperatives onboarded onto the B2B platform (22 of which are already in contact with a new business partner through it).

👥 FOSTERING is a project funded by the European Union and implemented by E4Impact Foundation with FXB Rwanda, aiming to promote climate-resilient agriculture and boost sustainable food production for Rwanda's local markets.

🗓️ To mark International Coffee Day, we want to celebrate the hard work of the Coffee Innovators taking part in the Executive Programme in Coffee Innovation. Last week, in fact, they went through days of intensive training.

☕️ On 25 September, a session was held with Gian Luca Malvicini of illy, covering coffee cultivation, soil fertility, pruning, regenerative agriculture, processing, quality and climate resilience.

📚 The video lectures of Prof. Sergio Tombesi, on Coffea ecophysiology, and Prof. Marco Camardo Leggieri, both of Universita' Cattolica del Sacro Cuore Milano, have begun.

🖥️ Participants have also started to access learning resources from Dedan Kimathi University of Technologyon quality, innovation in fermentation and traceability technologies.

🚀 The training continues over the coming weeks, in a journey that combines industry expertise, academic knowledge and technological innovation.

🎓 It has now been a month since 80 Ghanaian entrepreneurs completed the first cohort of the International Certificate in Impact Entrepreneurship (ICIE) at the E4Impact Entrepreneurship Center Ghana.

🤝 The ceremony brought together 47 delegates, including diplomats, government representatives, university leaders and partners. Entrepreneurs shared their experience and showcased their products and services, and the 16 winners of the final pitch competition were recognised.

🚀 The programme is funded by the European Union and delivered under the EU–Ghana Pact for Skills by UN Capital Development Fund in partnership with E4Impact Foundation, together with Cape Coast Technical University , Takoradi Technical University - TTU, University of Business and Integrated Development Studies and Ho Technical University - HTU.

☕ We have launched a new project: the Executive Programme in Coffee Innovation and Business, which gives professionals and entrepreneurs in Kenya's coffee value chain the skills to access qualified jobs or start innovative businesses in the sector.

25 participants are taking part in the initiative in Kenya, already well into the training courses and activities on offer. Once the Kenyan experience is complete, we will extend the programme to other African countries.

🇪🇹 Ethiopian fashion has landed in the heart of Milan's fashion district! UltraFashion – Show Your Talent in Italy! brought the collections of Meaza Beyene (MEAZA Clothing), Meti Hailemariam (METII) and Dagmawit Tesfaye (Dagmawit) to Accademia del Lusso, Via Montenapoleone 5.

👗 A lively turnout and plenty of curiosity: guests came to admire the pieces up close and hear the stories behind each collection, told by the designers themselves.

✨ Two years of training and mentoring, final touches in Agnona's tailoring atelier and, at last, the meeting with the Milan public. A milestone built step by step. Thank you to everyone who came to support them!

🪡 Final touches before the big day. Meaza Beyene (MEAZA Clothing), Meti Hailemariam (METII) and Dagmawit Tesfaye (Dagmawit) are at work in Agnona's tailoring atelier, refining the garments they will present tomorrow at UltraFashion – Show Your Talent in Italy!, hosted at Accademia del Lusso.

✂️ Cuts, proportions, finishes: every detail is reviewed alongside Agnona's tailoring team, together with Origgi, who has been guiding the designers in the atelier. It's a hands-on exchange with the techniques and standards of Italian craftsmanship, just hours before the collections make their debut.

✨ This is the final step of a two-year training and mentoring journey involving 72 Ethiopian artists and designers. Tomorrow, the three designers will show what that work has produced.
