🏆 Meti Hailemariam, Ethiopian architect and fashion designer, is coming back to Italy for Milan Fashion Week (September 22–28, 2026) with "Two Steps Forward, One Step Back", her new collection.
♻️ METII is an upcycling brand that redefines luxury through sustainability, transforming discarded fabrics into one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrate imperfection. Military denim, intricate cutwork, and fuchsia taffeta petals pushing through as acts of resilience — a collection exploring the tension between progress and regression, strength and fragility.
🤝 E4Impact Foundation has supported Meti in her growth journey as part of the UltraFashion project, with the support of Michele Ngonmo (President Afro Fashion Association) and Marina Origgi (Product Expert), through mentoring activities aimed at strengthening the entrepreneurial and creative vision of the brand ahead of its presence on the international stage.
👗 UltraFashion – Show Your Talent in Italy! supports Ethiopian designers in their journey of growth, connection and international visibility. The project is funded by Italian Development Cooperation through the Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo(AICS) and implemented by UNIDO - United Nations Industrial Development Organization, Ministry of Labour and Skills, ModaCult, AfroFashion and other partners.
