What's the "no" that shaped you?

You're not ready. You're not good enough. That's not for someone like you.

Almost every woman has heard a version of it. celebrates every girl and woman who was underestimated and did it anyway.

Not because the "no" was right, but because it didn't get the final say. Sometimes it takes seeing someone who did it anyway to believe you can too. That's where you come in.

Too many girls learn to limit their ambitions before they’ve had the chance to discover what they’re capable of, absorbing messages about what girls should be, which careers are “for them,” and how far they should dare to dream.

For 10 years, Inspiring Girls has been working to change that. Through workshops, speed networking events and online campaigns, we’ve reached more than 250,000 girls face-to-face and over 1 million online, showing girls everywhere that there’s no one way to be a woman and no limit to what their future can look like.

But there are millions of girls we haven’t reached yet.

That’s why we are proud to be part of Big Give’s Women and Girls Match Funding Campaign taking place this week, from 6-13 October 2026.

Your donation can help us reach the next 250,000 girls. The one who needs to meet someone who makes her think, “Maybe I could do that too.” The girl who needs encouragement to keep going when she doubts herself.

No, that’s not for someone like you.

Today, we’re launching , a campaign for every woman who was underestimated, told she couldn’t, and did it anyway. Because sometimes a “no” becomes the moment you decide to prove what you’re capable of.

Our founder, Miriam Gonzalez Durantez, knows that feeling well: “I have been told ‘no’ so many times that I have honestly lost count.” Ten years ago, Miriam was told she couldn’t build an international campaign. Today, Inspiring Girls reaches girls across 40 countries. Her answer to every “no” since? “Watch me.” 👀

“Having a good idea is one thing,but it takes real determination to make it happen”.

Florence Golding’s idea started with a family visit to the and a simple thought as she listened to the audio guide: what would it sound like in latin, the language the Romans actually spoke there?

Ideas like that often don’t survive the first few conversations. Florence had setbacks, and she had people who didn’t believe it could be done but she kept going, “I won’t know If I don’t ask’.

At Inspiring Girls, we see this often. A girl’s confidence doesn’t always come from being told yes. It often comes from overcoming the barriers and from someone else believing in her. ✨
