"Before this talk, I felt that STEM was something far away from me." 💫

Last April, 65+ high school students in Mexico City sat down with women in STEM and left seeing the world a little differently.

For many, it was the first time they had ever met a woman working in science, technology, engineering or maths and the first time they could picture themselves working in STEM too.

Because when a girl sees herself reflected in someone else's journey, everything changes. 🚀

Ayla once believed some spaces weren't meant for her. Then everything changed. 🌟

Meet Ayla, Inspiring Girls Youth Ambassador Alumni from Brazil 🇧🇷 and living proof of what happens when a girl is shown what's possible.

In 2021, Ayla joined Inspiring Girls Global Youth Ambassador programme. What she found wasn't just inspiration it was the realisation that her own journey could open doors for other girls facing the same walls she once did.

“For a long time, I saw leadership through the lens of not belonging. It felt like a space that wasn’t designed for someone with my background.”

Today she's studying Information Systems and serving as President of an IT Junior Enterprise.

We believe every girl deserves to see just how far she can go.

This month, we're taking you to Singapore, Germany, France, Mexico, Croatia and the United Kingdom to explore what they got up to this April. 🌍

🇸🇬 was delighted to bring 25+ students for an industry learning day into the legal sector. Students heard from an inspiring panel of 7 professionals, including lawyers, innovation leads and information managers who shared their career journeys, debunked common myths and discussed how technology is shaping the future of law.

🇩🇪 Inspiring Girls Deutschland organised 14 events in April, reaching over 400 girls including 7 Girls' Day events in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Finance. The girls got the chance to discover a wide range of careers, from digitalisation and natural sciences to finance and crafts.

🇫🇷 Inspiring Girls France welcomed 10 role models for school talks at a primary school, reaching over 150 students. From a sailor to an insurance broker, pupils heard from a wide diversity of careers , with one student summing up perfectly the impact of connecting girls with role models: "I would like to become like you when I grow up."

🇲🇽 Inspiring Girls México held the event "Ellas en STEM: Trayectorias que inspiran" with 60+ high school students. The session featured three role models, including an analog astronaut and a science communicator, creating a space for young students to connect with women in STEM, discover diverse opportunities and learn about available scholarships.

🇭🇷 Inspiring Girls Hrvatska hosted writer Nastja Kulović at Primary School Stenjevec in Zagreb. Eighth graders had the opportunity to hear about her creativity, the writing process and the importance of expressing one's voice.

🇬🇧 Inspiring Girls UK ran 5 STEM workshops with MetLife role models, reaching over 80 girls. The impact spoke for itself: "It gave me inspiration and courage for the future" and "It showed me how strong women can be in more male-oriented jobs."

If you’re new here, welcome. We’re a global charity on a mission to make sure no girl ever feels like a career is out of reach, simply because she’s never met anyone who does it.

1 in 4 girls can’t name a female role model outside their own family.

That’s why we connect girls aged 11–16 with extraordinary women from every career and background imaginable so they can discover possibilities they didn’t know existed, and ambitions they didn’t know were theirs to have.

This is what INSPIRING fundraising looks like 💪✨

Next December, Inspiring Girls’ UK Ambassador and leading sleep scientist, will take on one of the most extreme endurance challenges on Earth: they’ll row over 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean—unsupported—From La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua.

This isn’t just a physical challenge. It’s a test of resilience, courage, and belief, 3 qualities we want every girl to see in herself.

Through their expedition, Team gROW is raising awareness and vital funds for Inspiring Girls International. “I want to help instil a deep belief in young girls that with a bit of grit, courage and determination, they truly can achieve anything they want.”

Because when women push boundaries, they don’t just go further, they inspire the next generation to do the same.
