Dear friends,
In response to the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwa in Sri Lanka, the Bangladesh Buddhists' Welfare Association (BBWA) in Milan – Italy, organized a humanitarian relief activity to support affected communities.
This initiative was carried out as an expression of deep gratitude to the people of Sri Lanka, who in the past generously supported many Bangladeshi Buddhist monks in their education and monastic life during their stay in Sri Lanka. Remembering this long-standing bond of compassion and mutual support, the BBWA members came forward to assist those in need during this difficult time.
We sincerely express our heartfelt gratitude to Venerable Dhammaloka Kurunegoda Thero for kindly organizing and coordinating this relief activity on behalf of the Bangladesh Buddhists' Welfare Association.
We also extend our special thanks to the members of the BBWA (Bishnu Kumar Hazari - Bagoigram, Biswajit Barua - Chunati, Dheman Singha - Baraigaon, Sriman Singha- Baraigaon, Monishankar Singha- Baraigaon, Taposh Singha- Dupchar, Uzzal Singha- Baraigaon) whose generous financial contributions made this humanitarian effort possible. Through their support, essential relief items were distributed among pregnant mothers and school children, helping families meet urgent needs and enabling children to purchase necessary school supplies.
We wish safety, strength, and recovery to all those affected by Cyclone Ditwa.
With metta and gratitude,
Bangladesh Buddhists' Welfare Association (BBWA)
