Official page of Indian Association of Northern Italy During its past four-decade of history, its character and composition have changed considerably.

The India Association in Milan dates back to 1982 when a small group Indians enthusiastically formed Indian Association of Milan to promote Indian Culture and also for a healthy Indo Italian relationship. The Association was created by a group of individuals, mostly business and professional Indians, interested in the rich and diverse historical, cultural, social, religious, philosophical and spir

itual aspects of India. In the beginning, membership of the Association was confined and limited because the Indian population in the Italy was rather scarce. However since 2005 the number of Indians, professional and non- professional Indians started coming in large numbers. Today in Europe Italy has the fourth highest Indian Community after UK, France and Germany. It was in collaboration with indian Consulate General of India there was an attempt to bring different communities and different groups under one banner of Indian Association of North Italy. The association has been growing in strength every day however lot needs to be done to bring a cohesive force of Indians all over North Italy and Italy in general. Primarily, the Association is more concerned with activities such as organizing cultural and social events, lectures, debates and seminars highlighting the various aspects of Indian religion, culture and philosophy. However the intention is to take much larger role with involvement of students, business and professional living in Italy. We look forward for support of all Indians and Italians to work towards the common objective of cultural harmony.

🇮🇳✨ 79 Years of Freedom, Pride & Unity – Celebrated in Milan! 🇮🇹✨

The Indian Association of Northern Italy had the honour of joining the Consulate General of India, Milan to celebrate our 79th Independence Day.

Though miles away from our motherland, Milan has become home for many of us — and today, it echoed with the spirit of India. From the proud flag hoisting to the heartfelt National Anthem and vibrant cultural performances, every moment was a reminder of our shared heritage and unbreakable bond.

Here’s our cherished group photo with Hon’ble CG Shri Lavanya Kumar, marking a day of unity, patriotism, and pride for every Indian in Italy.
