🎉 Six days. Thousands of events. One shared reminder of what Erasmus means.

The Erasmus Days begin on Monday, 12 October. This international celebration brings people together to share the projects, opportunities and experiences made possible by Erasmus+.

It’s a chance to recognise the programme’s impact and the role mobility plays in connecting people across Europe.

At garagErasmus, we work to strengthen Erasmus as a pillar of the European project: a driver of learning, talent development and European citizenship.

Through our projects - from ERASMUSNESS to gE4CITIES - we help make the skills people develop through international mobility visible, recognised and transferable, so the value of the Erasmus experience can continue well beyond the exchange itself.

We’re ready to take part in a series of events, and proud to join the celebrations in Torino, Erasmus Destination of the Year 2026.

🎉 Six days. Thousands of events. One celebration of Erasmus.

From 12 to 17 October, the Erasmus Days bring people together to celebrate the projects, opportunities and experiences made possible by Erasmus+.

At garagErasmus, we believe mobility helps connect people, develop talent and strengthen European citizenship.

Through our projects - from ERASMUSNESS to gE4CITIES - we help make the skills gained through international experiences visible and transferable, so their value lasts long after the exchange.

We’re joining the celebrations with a series of events, including in Torino, Erasmus Destination of the Year 2026. 🇪🇺

🇪🇺Almost €15 billion more for Erasmus+. Still just 2% of EU spending.

The European Commission has proposed €40.8 billion for Erasmus+ in 2028-2034, up from €26.2 billion for the current programme. That increase is worth acknowledging. Yet compared with the current seven-year budget, Erasmus+ would receive a smaller share of the EU’s overall spending.

✨ Security and resilience are rightly priorities at a time of major challenges. But Europe's strength is not built on defence alone. It is built on people who cross borders, learn, and bring what they have gained back across Europe.

The evidence is clear: 96% of participants say they developed key competences through Erasmus+.

That's why garagErasmus, a member of the Erasmus+ Coalition co-led by Lifelong Learning Platform and European Youth Forum, calls for at least €47.4 billion in the next long-term EU budget.

🗣️ "Erasmus+ is where European values become lived experience."
Fabrizio Bitetto, garagErasmus Foundation President, to the European Parliament's Committee on Culture and Education, January 2026.

Investing in Erasmus+ means investing in the people who will shape Europe's future.

🌍 From Cities to Communities – garagErasmus beyond borders

For the first time, the garagErasmus network came together in Yerevan, Armenia, hosted by EduHub, our first extra-European gE4City.

Going beyond geographical borders, the meeting was an opportunity for our network to connect, coordinate and shape new actions responding to the evolving needs of students and alumni, in Europe and beyond.

Together, we focused on three key areas:
🏠 housing
🎓 micro-credentials
📣 communication

From cities to communities, we continue to build connections, exchange expertise and create opportunities across borders.🌍

Fighting EuroApathy💪🏻

Erasmus is much more than a semester abroad: it is an opportunity to experience Europe beyond borders - to study, travel, and work in another country, meet people from different backgrounds, and discover what it means to be part of a European community.🇪🇺

Through mobility, young people develop not only new skills and perspectives, but also a stronger sense of European citizenship and identity.🇪🇺

Because European identity is not something we simply inherit, it’s something we experience, build and share.🔥

Fight EuroApathy. Experience Europe. Be part of Europe.

Learn about it from our reporter Szuromi Zsófia and from Hungarian EU Youth delegates Veres Alma,Szabó Dániel Benedek and Kiss István Ádám.

💪 A promising start for garagErasmus in Glasgow!

During the first day of the International Education Conference organised by , we met representatives from universities across Europe interested in supporting ERASMUSNESS and bringing it into their mobility and internationalisation strategies.

But what is ERASMUSNESS?

It is the first recognition programme and competence framework dedicated to the Erasmus Generation. Through micro-credentials, it makes the transversal skills developed during Erasmus+ mobility visible, validated and transferable:

🔹 adaptability
🔹 intercultural communication
🔹 teamwork
🔹 critical thinking
🔹 problem-solving
🔹 networking

Because an Erasmus experience is about much more than ECTS and academic results. Its full learning value deserves to be recognised.

Thank you to everyone who visited us and shared ideas, perspectives and enthusiasm. This is only the beginning!

📍 Come and meet us at Booth F57 - Scottish Event Campus (SEC) for our reception tomorrow, at 11:30, to discover ERASMUSNESS and learn how you can support it.

Once Erasmus, forever Erasmus. Now it’s certified.

Our participation reflects a clear commitment: strengthening cooperation among universities, organisations and companies to make international mobility a lasting driver of talent development, employability and European citizenship.

🇪🇺 At Booth F57, we are presenting ERASMUSNESS, the first recognition programme and competence framework dedicated to the Erasmus Generation.

The project helps Higher Education Institutions identify, validate and recognise the transversal skills developed through Erasmus+ mobility - from adaptability and intercultural communication to teamwork, problem-solving and critical thinking - through micro-credentials.

Because the value of an Erasmus experience goes far beyond ECTS and academic results.

📍 Meet garagErasmus and the ERASMUSNESS partners at Booth F57, from 9 to 11 September.

Once Erasmus, forever Erasmus. Now it’s certified.
