🇮🇹 Versione Italiana
Rock of the Marne! a tutti coloro che amano questa divisione.

🇺🇸 English Version
Our association continues to pursue its mission with dedication: **to honor and remember the U.S. Army’s Third Infantry Division**, a key protagonist in the liberation of Italy and a unit deeply and indissolubly connected to the history of our communities in Central and Southern Italy.
Over the past three years, we have achieved milestones that reflect the commitment of our members and the support of the institutions that believe in our projects and in the strength of a shared memory:
- **2024 — Memorial at the Montelungo National Military Shrine**
The inauguration of the Memorial dedicated to the *3rd Infantry Division*, accompanied by a message of congratulations from the President of the Italian Republic, represented a significant recognition of our work in historical research, preservation, and dissemination.
It is the **first memorial dedicated to Allied soldiers within a National Military Shrine**, a place that honors the Division’s fallen from the Gulf of Salerno to the battles fought in Northern Italy.
The event was attended by the then‑Commander of the U.S. Army’s Third Infantry Division, **Christopher Norrie**, a testament to the deep and enduring relationship with the Division.
- **2025 — Memorial dedicated to Medal of Honor recipient Sylvester Antolak**
A project carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Cisterna di Latina and inaugurated in the presence of the descendants of this great American hero.
The memorial stands in the heart of a city park, a place where children, families, and seniors gather every day—a symbolic setting that unites memory, freedom, and everyday life.
- **2026 — Memorial dedicated to the Medal of Honor recipients of the 15th Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division**
A tribute to **Elden Harvey Johnson** (Company H) and **Herbert Franklyn Christian** (Company E), both serving in the regimental Battle Patrol.
The memorial, created in collaboration with the Municipality of Valmontone and the local section of the National Bersaglieri Association, symbolizes the continuity of our commitment and our determination to preserve the memory of the Division that fought without retreating, contributing decisively to the freedom of our country.
Our mission continues: **to preserve history, to safeguard places of memory, and to recount the sacrifice of those who fought for freedom**.
Many ideas are already prepared, and others are taking shape; the right moment will come.
Until then, **Rock of the Marne** to all who cherish this remarkable Division.
