Making a place for the arts within communities at home and across the globe.

21/10/2026

We meet in Pezzolo and stay connected across the world.

Harley Hefford and Andrew Simon met during the Trinacria residency in 2024. Two years later, they catch up to talk about art, community and life after Pezzolo. Harley shares memories of his residency and talks about Trainscendence, the arts space he now co-runs in Melbourne.

“Beyond Pezzolo” follows our former residents and the connections that continue long after their time here.

Read Andrew’s interview with Harley on our blog. 🤍

Every artist residency is an exchange.

Artists encounter Pezzolo, its stories and its knowledge. The community becomes part of the creative process, while each artist brings new perspectives and experiences to the village.

These encounters create artworks and bonds that continue beyond the festival.

The goodbye between Nada Tomić and some of the women of Pezzolo captures one of these bonds.

“Come back to Sicily.” 🤍
