🌿 Visita etno-botanica alla Riserva Naturale del Padule di Fucecchio
Siamo felici di invitarvi a una speciale mattinata alla scoperta della natura e delle tradizioni del nostro territorio, organizzata nell’ambito del progetto “L’arte antica dell’intreccio delle erbe” e in collaborazione con la Riserva Naturale del Padule di Fucecchio.

📍 Il programma:
Inizieremo con una breve visita al Centro Visite della Riserva Naturale del Padule di Fucecchio, dove potremo ammirare l'allestimento dedicato alla tradizione delle erbe palustri.
Attraverseremo poi parte del Bosco di Chiusi, l'ultima significativa testimonianza dell’antica foresta planiziale che un tempo ricopriva tutta la bassa Valdinievole, fino a raggiungere il Porto delle Morette, uno degli storici approdi del Padule di Fucecchio.
Infine, percorrendo l’argine del Canale del Terzo che fiancheggia vasti canneti, raggiungeremo l’Osservatorio delle Morette. Da qui potremo dominare l’ampio specchio d’acqua della riserva, habitat d’eccezione di numerose specie di uccelli.

🌿 Ethno-botanical tour of the Padule di Fucecchio Nature Reserve
We are delighted to invite you to a special morning discovering the nature and traditions of our territory, organized as part of the project "The Ancient Art of Wetland Herb Weaving" and in collaboration with the Padule di Fucecchio Nature Reserve.
📅 Tuesday, June 2nd, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Free event open to everyone (booking required)
📍 The itinerary:
We will begin with a short visit to the Visitor Center of the Padule di Fucecchio Nature Reserve, where we will explore the exhibition dedicated to the tradition of marsh herbs.
We will then cross part of the Chiusi Woods, which represents the last significant remaining trace of the ancient lowland forest that once covered the entire lower Valdinievole, until reaching the Porto delle Morette, one of the historic docking sites of the Padule di Fucecchio.
Finally, walking along the bank of the Canale del Terzo flanked by vast reed beds, we will reach the Morette Observatory. From this vantage point, we will look out over the reserve's large stretch of water, an exceptional habitat for numerous bird species.
