The last session of the *Bauhaus Workshop* was dedicated to the QUINDI project, by Caritas Dioccesi di Lucca. This inclusive project gives new life to reclaimed fabrics, creating unique and sustainable handmade pieces! ♻️👗

After three days of learning and sharing, participants ended with a visit to the Caritas Internationalis workshops, where they saw first-hand the impact of projects such as Daccapo, Nanina and QUINDI. 🌍💫

📅 Day 3 – October 9th

“The Craftsman 2030” 🌱✨
On the last day of the Bauhaus Workshop Artistic Training Program, we focused on innovative projects from Caritas Internationalis, dedicating the sessions to integrative, inclusive and circular crafts. ♻️🤝

Sessions 7 and 8 highlighted the Daccapo and Nanina projects of Caritas Dioccesi di Lucca. Daccapo is a solidarity reuse system that transforms unused objects into useful everyday items. 🌍✨

The Nanina project, named after the hen that hatches other people’s eggs, welcomes everyone and aims to create employment opportunities for people in economic difficulties, using recovered materials as raw material for crafts. 🐔💼

It was an inspiring day, full of hope and solidarity! Stay tuned for more! 👀

📅 Day 2 - October 8th
“Proximity Work & New Tools” 🌍🔧

The second day of the Bauhaus Workshop brought us two sessions full of innovative learning! In the second session of the day, led by Fernando Cidoncha, we explored the impact of *social networking* on digital craftsmanship. It was a real immersion in social networks - from Facebook to TikTok - to understand how each one can bring artisans and communities closer together. 📲💬

To round off the day, Francesco Paganini challenged us to reflect on the new digital tools. Modeling and 3D printing: are they competitors or allies of traditional crafts? The answer may surprise you! 🤖✨

Keep following this digital journey! 👀

Day 1 - 7th October
‘Integrative and Inclusive Crafts & Gender Crafts’ 🌈👐

Closing the first day of the *Bauhaus Workshop*, the third session brought a valuable reflection on inclusion in crafts, led by Bruno Micheletti. We talked about the importance of valorising different materials and exploring new ways of using them 🎨💡

Among the traditions, the magnificent sawdust carpets created for religious processions by the talented carpenters of Camaiore stood out! As part of the experience, we visited the Comune di Camaiore Association and participants had the unique opportunity to get down to work and create one of these carpets on Via della Rosa. 🌸✨

We kicked off the Bauhaus Workshop with an inspiring first session led by Massimiliano Turba! At 10.30am, we dived into the topic of ‘Converting an artisan workshop into a sustainable business’. 🎨💼

We had the chance to see the iconic plaster figurines from Val di Serchio and Val di Lima, called Figurinai di Lucca - pieces of sacred art that carry the history of emigration and the preservation of a unique tradition. 🌍👤

The morning also included a visit to an artisan workshop in Bagni di Lucca, where we saw this art come to life up close! 👐✨
