USO Sigonella is proud to celebrate the success of our 3rd Annual Sigonella Scramble Golf Tournament, held on Saturday, October 3, 2026!

The day kicked off with welcoming remarks from USO Sigonella Senior Center Manager Casey Pizzuto, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to our sponsors, participants, and supporters. With more than 60 players taking to the course, the tournament was filled with great sportsmanship, meaningful connections, and community spirit.

A special thank-you goes to our lead sponsors, Northrop Grumman Corporation and DHL, whose continued generosity helped make this event possible! We are also incredibly grateful to Sicilia's Picciolo Etna Golf for their outstanding hospitality and exceptional prizes.

Following the tournament, we were honored to hear from CDR Daniel Morreira, Executive Officer of U.S. Naval Station Sigonella, who shared his appreciation for USO Sigonella and its mission. We also welcomed Luisa Mazzella, USO Southern Europe Senior Area Operations Manager, who shared remarks in support of our work and the military community we serve.

Thank you to every player, sponsor, volunteer, and partner who made this year's tournament such a success! Your generosity and continued support allow us to create meaningful experiences and strengthen connections throughout our military community. USO

🎉Join us in congratulating our September Volunteer of the Month, Angela Pesce🎉

Angela’s impact on our USO family has been truly meaningful, especially in the short time she has been with us. In just a few months, she has volunteered an incredible 181 hours.

Angela brings dedication, compassion, and a genuine willingness to help wherever she is needed. Every Thursday, she has been instrumental in making Troop Time a success by helping plan meals, prepare ingredient lists, shop for supplies alongside our staff and ensure everything is ready to welcome and serve our service members.

What makes Angela’s commitment especially remarkable is how much she balances in her everyday life. While working full-time, attending university, and helping her father at the Healthy Place, she still finds time to give back to the USO.

She also speaks four languages, a wonderful reflection of the diverse skills and perspectives she brings to everything she does. Despite her many responsibilities and talents, Angela remains humble, dependable, and always willing to lend a hand.

We are incredibly fortunate to have Angela as part of our USO family 🫶🏻

USO Sigonella was proud to attend and support a packed All-Hands Call, where Sailors had the opportunity to speak directly with senior Navy leadership.

Office of the Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Daryl Caudle and Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy John Perryman took the time to meet with Sailors, hear their questions, and connect with the Sigonella community.

USO Sigonella was happy to support the event by providing coffee, juice, water, and pastries to keep our Sailors fueled and ready for the conversation.

Thank you to our Navy leaders for taking the time to connect with our Sailors, and to everyone who made this All-Hands Call a success!
