The DNA of tolerance is an Erasmus plus project, 2019-3-IT03-KA205-017597
The project shares good practices about tolerance and developing skills and mindset for tolerance, non violent communication and intercultural collaboration at the workplace. The "DNA OF TOLERANCE" project is an Erasmus Plus Programme Project, 2019-3-IT03-KA205-017597
The project aims to facilitate the integration of young p
eople - in particular those belonging to ethnic minorities, but also
young people in general from disadvantaged situations - in local communities expressing themselves through different forms of art to tell the
own story. The project stems from the need identified among the partners to recognize and support the different “artistic” communications of their young people who, precisely
through expressive communication, they unite the varieties of the groups of origin, spreading their own culture and enriching at the same time
local and European cultural heritage. Italy, Austria, Bulgaria, Spain and Great Britain have worked focusing on the needs of young people, reaffirming the value of storytelling
artistic or expressive communication, to establish a more effective dialogue with local communities. The aim of this project is to break down the barriers between nations that limit the interaction between different cultures caused by variables such as
religious, linguistic, racial and cultural differences. THE DNA OF TOLERANCE creates cultural support for young people, youth educators and the
local community, to help them overcome the barriers that are imposed by different concepts such as race, language and cultural values using one language
common: art. The common idea of all partners is that the inclusion of youth minorities can be improved by using different types of artistic communication, such as
means for youth educators both to reach marginalized young people and to include them in local communities. Provide youth educators with specific tools to recognize the most effective expressive communications to facilitate integration into contexts
locals;
3. Describe and test the tools with which young people tell about themselves to the community.
4. Training of educators and staff to build future Activity Plans aimed at improving the inclusion of young people.
5. Training of educators and staff in the use of a training kit that contains the creation of a presentation event for the young person through his artistic / expressive communication skills.
