“Associazione Caterina” was founded in February 2015 with a very clear goal: setting out to become the representative body of Italian artistic perfumery, which is characterised by its uniqueness, its value and prestige as a true form of art. The Italian brands wishing to become members of Associazione Caterina have to share its principles and obligations alongside with the clear determination to
act in order to favour the correct knowledge of the art of perfumery as an original and creative work of art, as well as to promote an understanding of its products so that they can be considered like any other art such as photography, painting, music, literature, while special attention should be paid to the expression of Italian creativity, craftsmanship, and flair. Its name refers to Caterina de’ Medici, a symbol of the leadership of Italian heritage, in this as well as in other sectors; its evocative name brings to mind our traditional far-sightedness, our innate sense of harmony, our taste for beauty, the constant search for what is new and ground-breaking. Our newly-born association embodies the idea of its three founders:
Stefania Giannino, Marketing and Export Manager of Nobile 1942, current President; Sergio Momo, founder and Xerjoff President, Vice President;
Luca Gritti, founder of Gritti and Vice President. The current members of the association are:
Gritti, Masque Milano, Nobile 1942, Rancé 1795, Tiziana Terenzi, Xerjoff. In order to identify the association’s members an exclusive label will be issued, symbol of quality for both the consumers and for the points of sale. The label will be granted to those brands that fulfil the requested criteria as indicated by a team of independent experts from different sectors. This is to show our commitment to our customers, points of sale and distributors alike. In this way, in addition to protecting the prestige of Italian artistic perfumery and its value around the world, we shall also be able to preserve the quality of our offer.
