On May 27, 2025, we conducted a successful 2-hour online training session to enhance end-users' understanding of the PROMPT EDSS. The session aimed to ensure participants gained sufficient knowledge of the system’s functionality and could independently perform simulations to combat maritime pollution.

Attendees: Representatives from partner organizations; IHcantabria, ERI, OEPT, JU, and WASDI. The training specifically targeted partners from Lebanon (OEPT) and Jordan (JU), as outlined in the project proposal.

Key Outcomes:
- Provided a detailed explanation of the new EDSS features to end-users.
- Improved end-users' ability to run simulations and interpret results.
- Addressed pertinent questions and clarified doubts regarding the upgraded EDSS.

The session successfully achieved its objectives, equipping participants with the necessary skills to utilize the system effectively.

The round-table discussion, coordinated by ERI, provided an opportunity for stakeholders to introduce themselves, share their expectations, and engage in meaningful dialogue about the project. The session aimed to strengthen networking relationships and ensure the project's sustainability. The Mentimeter platform was used to have a quiz and facilitate interactive discussions and gather feedback from participants.

ERI presented its activities done so far under Work Package(WP) 2-Communication and Dissemination. As the lead of WP-2, ERI gave an overview of the work package, and disclosed activities such as stakeholder engagement procedure for capitalization, prepared project infographic, prepared PROMPT video interview, dissemination of project results, publish on social media platforms, and publishing on UCPN platform dedicated for the project. Furthermore, the communication and dissemination channels and tools, next step activities and future activities were elaborated with pictures demonstration.

The OEPT presentation was centered around the experimentation of testing floating containers. It gave an insight into the real-scale experiment conducted at Tripoli Harbor to test the tracking of floating containers in the sea. The experiment was conducted using satellite imagery; optical and SAR. The experiment was done to improve the detection of oil spills. HNS, volatile pollutants and tracking floating containers, enhancing emergency response capabilities, and to update contingency plans and training teams.
