World Art Day is an international celebration of the fine arts which was declared by the International Association of Art (IAA) in order to promote awareness of creative activity worldwide.

A proposal was put forward at the 17th General Assembly of the International Association of Art in Guadalajara to declare April 15 as World Art Day, with the first celebration held in 2012. This proposal was sponsored by Bedri Baykam of Turkey and co-signed by Rosa Maria Burillo Velasco of Mexico, Anne Pourny of France, Liu Dawei of China, Christos Symeonides of Cyprus, Anders Liden of Sweden, Kan Irie of Japan, Pavel Kral of Slovakia, Dev Chooramun of Mauritius, and Hilde Rognskog of Norway. It was accepted unanimously by the General Assembly.. The date was decided in honor of the birthday of Leonardo da Vinci. Da Vinci was chosen as a symbol world peace, freedom of expression, tolerance, brotherhood and multiculturalism as well as art’s importance to other fields.

Yu Qian. Born in China (1978). Graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Jilin
University of the Arts. She has furthered her studies in the
Advanced Oil Painting Workshop at China Academy of Art, the
Advanced Workshop of Expressionism and Abstraction at
Central Academy of Fine Arts, and the Advanced Watercolor
and Gouache Workshop of Shanghai Artists Association
successively. Such interdisciplinary and multi-dimensional
learning experiences have allowed her to draw on the
strengths of various schools and gain a profound
understanding of the core essence of abstract art and
expressionism. While exploring the quintessence of oil painting
techniques, she also shows a keen interest in expressive
forms such as watercolor and gouache, as well as installation
art, thus boasting a broad artistic vision.

As an abstract artist with both Chinese cultural characteristics
and an international perspective, Yu Qian's oil paintings
feature a distinct personal style, and she is hailed as "an
unignorable female force in the field of Oriental abstract art".
Facing the canvas, she always maintains a state of purity and
sincerity, and prefers to explore the boundaries of art in a
"clumsy" way– breaking free from the constraints of existing
knowledge and experience, and engaging in artistic creation
with a natural, wild and simple state like primitive humans. Her
oil paintings not only demonstrate the emotional tension of
abstract expressionism but also integrate the concept of
"freehand brushwork" from traditional Chinese painting,
making her art a unique school of its own.

Henri Émile Benoît Matisse; 31 December 1869 – 3 November 1954 was a French artist, known for both his use of colour and his fluid and original draughtsmanship. He was a draughtsman, printmaker, and sculptor, but is known primarily as a painter. Matisse is commonly regarded, along with Pablo Picasso, as one of the artists who best helped to define the revolutionary developments in the visual arts throughout the opening decades of the twentieth century, responsible for significant developments in painting and sculpture.

The Grand Palais des Champs-Élysées, commonly known as the Grand Palais, is a large historic site, exhibition hall and museum complex located at the Champs-Élysées in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, France. Construction of the Grand Palais began in 1897 following the demolition of the Palais de l'Industrie(Palace of Industry) as part of the preparation works for the Universal Exposition of 1900, which also included the creation of the adjacent Petit Palais and Pont Alexandre III.[2]It has been listed since 2000 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture.

The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts is the largest museum of European art in Moscow, located in Volkhonka street, just opposite the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. The International musical festival Sviatoslav Richter's December nights has been held in the Pushkin museum since 1981.

The Dalí Theatre and Museum, is a museum of the artist Salvador Dalí in his home town of Figueres, in Catalonia, Spain. Dalí is buried there in a crypt below the stage. The museum received 1,368,755 visitors in 2016.

Gizem Nadir, also known as Misterio N., was born in 1990 in Istanbul, Turkey. She graduated from the Painting Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2014 and expanded her studies through the Erasmus program at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia between 2012 and 2013. During this period, she also attended courses at Yıldız Technical University, and in 2018 completed her studies in Graphic Design at Istanbul Bilgi University. Her multidisciplinary education shapes a practice that moves fluidly between painting, graphic design, and material experimentation. Nadir has held two solo exhibitions in Spain and has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey and internationally. She is currently pursuing studies in Ceramic and Glass Art at Hacettepe University and lives and works in Ankara.
