Happy Christmas from the Friends of the Bargello!

Mino da Fiesole’s (1429-1470) Madonna and Child from the Verrocchio Room of the Bargello, which entered the collection in 1867 when various works from the neighbouring Convent of Badia were deaccessioned.

The famous Sala di Donatello at the museum is currently undergoing a major renovation project. During this time the masterpieces from the room, including Donatello’s Amore-Attis (1440-3), have been located in a special temporary display that allows visitors to see the sculptures in a new setting

The Friends of the Bargello and the Museo Nazionale del Bargello will present the new publication of the ‘Maiolica and Ceramics in the National Museum of the Bargello’ by Marino Marini at the BIAF fair in the Palazzo Corsini.

Sunday 29 September at 4pm in the Palazzo Corsini.

With presentations by Fabrizio Moretti, Dimitrios Zikos, Chiara Travisonni, Paola D’Agostino, Marino Marini and Carmen Ravanelli Guidotti.
