Being online does not always mean being heard.

Every day, young people use digital platforms to learn, organise, advocate and connect.

Yet many also face misinformation, harassment, hate speech and pressure that pushes them out of public conversations.
When people feel unsafe speaking online, democracy loses voices.

Reclaiming digital spaces means building communities where respect matters, information is reliable and everyone can participate without fear.
Because digital participation is civic participation.

💬 What would make online spaces feel safer and more inclusive for you?

A city is not defined by its buildings, but by the opportunities it creates for the people who live in it.

When young people have access to safe public spaces, affordable housing, sustainable mobility and places where they can meet, create and collaborate, communities become stronger, more inclusive and more resilient.

Reclaiming physical spaces is about imagining cities where everyone has the chance to belong, participate and shape the future together.

Because investing in spaces for young people means investing in the future of our communities.

💬 What is one place in your city that has helped you grow, connect or feel part of a community?

A city is more than its buildings.

It is the parks where friendships begin, the libraries where ideas grow, the community centres where people organise, and the streets where everyone should feel safe.

Yet many young people are being pushed out of the spaces they need most. Rising housing costs, inaccessible public areas, unsafe mobility systems and the commercialisation of urban life are making participation harder.

Reclaiming physical spaces means creating cities designed for people, not only profit.

It means affordable housing, accessible public spaces, sustainable mobility and places where communities can gather, create and belong.

💬 What public space in your community deserves to be reclaimed for people?

Every young person deserves the opportunity to shape the place where they live.

Across Europe and the Mediterranean, young people are raising their voices to ask for communities that are more inclusive, accessible and responsive to their needs. They are calling for spaces where they can participate, create, connect and make a real difference.

The campaign brings together these voices into one shared movement, showing that meaningful participation begins when young people are given the space to lead change.

Because stronger communities are built with young people, not just for young people.

💬 What is one change you would like to see in your community?

What happens when thousands of young people across Europe and beyond are asked the same question: What needs to change in your community?
The answers are surprisingly similar.

Young people are asking for affordable places to live. Safe public spaces where they can meet and create. Schools that prepare them for real life. Digital environments free from hate and misinformation. Political institutions that listen, not just consult.
They are not asking to be invited into the future.
They are asking to help build it.

Over the coming months, the campaign will explore four spaces that shape young people’s lives every day: physical spaces, digital spaces, educational spaces and political spaces.
Because youth participation is not a privilege. It is a condition for stronger, fairer and more democratic societies.

💬 What is the one space you believe young people need to reclaim the most today?

What happens when hundreds of young people come together to imagine a better future?

Across countries and communities, their voices revealed common hopes, shared challenges and powerful ideas for change.

This is only the beginning. Stay tuned.

Something is missing.

Not because young people don’t care.
But because too often, they are left without the space to participate, create and shape the future.

A new movement is about to begin.

Across 12 countries.
One shared message.
Countless voices.

📅 Coming soon.
