L’ European Projects Festival 2026 si è concluso, ma le connessioni, le idee e le collaborazioni nate durante questi tre giorni continueranno ben oltre Ferrara.

Dal 14 al 16 maggio, professionisti/e, organizzazioni, istituzioni, studenti, artisti e cittadini provenienti da tutta Europa si sono incontrati per confrontarsi, progettare, imparare, scambiare esperienze e immaginare nuove possibilità per l’Europa.

👉 21 eventi in 3 giorni
👉 48 speaker, autori/autrici e artisti/e coinvolti/e
👉 Oltre 400 partecipanti
👉 Visitatori e organizzazioni provenienti da 16 Paesi europei

Workshop, sessioni di networking, dialoghi, eventi culturali e proiezioni cinematografiche, diritti, educazione, inclusione e partecipazione: EPF è diventato uno spazio condiviso in cui la progettazione europea ha incontrato esperienze vissute, linguaggi culturali e visioni collettive.

Grazie a tutte le persone che hanno partecipato, contribuito, collaborato e reso possibile questa terza edizione.

L’Europa prende forma attraverso le persone, le relazioni e le pratiche condivise.
E questo Festival ne è stato la dimostrazione.

The European Projects Festival 2026 is over, but the connections, ideas and collaborations created during these three days will continue far beyond Ferrara.

From 14 to 16 May, professionals, organisations, institutions, students, artists and citizens from all over Europe came together to discuss, design, learn, exchange and imagine new possibilities for Europe.

👉 Visitors and organisations from 16 European countries

Workshops, networking sessions, talks, cultural events and short film screenings, rights, education, inclusion and participation: EPF became a shared space where European projects met lived experiences, cultural languages and collective visions.

Thank you to everyone who participated, contributed, collaborated and helped make this third edition possible.

Europe takes shape through people, relationships and shared practices.
And this Festival was proof of that.

🎬 Ivan Olgiati reflects on the mentoring session “Cinema, Skills and the Market”, held yesterday as part of the European Projects Festival 2026, within the project WE Frame - Collective Views for Equality.

A conversation on professional pathways in the audiovisual sector, emerging skills, access to the industry and the connections between creativity, training and the European cultural landscape.

Through mentoring and dialogue with participants, the session explored how cinema can become not only a cultural language, but also a space for professional growth, collaboration and new opportunities for younger generations.

Caterina Facchini è una delle videomaker selezionate tramite la WE Frame Open Call – 48 Hour Short Film Challenge.

In questa intervista, registrata durante il terzo workshop in presenza a cui ha partecipato il 27 aprile, “Uguaglianza e Vulnerabilità”, racconta le sue prime impressioni sul laboratorio, e qualche idea per sviluppare il suo cortometraggio - che ha poi realizzato in sole 48 ore, come previsto dalla sfida del progetto.

Caterina Facchini is one of the videomakers selected through the WE Frame Open Call – 48 Hour Short Film Challenge.

In this interview, recorded during the third in-person workshop she attended on 27 April, “Equality and Vulnerability”, she shares her first reflections on the workshop and the initial ideas behind the short film she later created in just 48 hours, as required by the project’s challenge.

Come si costruisce l’uguaglianza, insieme?

All’ European Projects Festival 2026, l’evento finale del progetto WE Frame - Collective Views for Equality apre uno spazio di confronto tra voci, esperienze e prospettive diverse.

Questa sessione plenaria non è una semplice restituzione dei risultati di progetto, ma un momento di dialogo collettivo sull’uguaglianza come processo vivo, relazionale e in continua evoluzione. Attraverso sguardi intersezionali e narrazioni che emergono dai territori, l’incontro esplora come i diritti prendano forma quando identità diverse si incontrano, si ascoltano e si riconoscono.

Un invito a partecipare, ad ampliare il campo delle possibilità e a contribuire alla costruzione di visioni condivise capaci di trasformare ciò che ancora limita l’uguaglianza in Europa.

How do we build equality, together?

At the European Projects FestivalEuropean Projects FestivalEuropean Projects Festival 2026, the final event of the WE Frame - Collective Views for EqualityWE Frame - Collective Views for EqualityWE Frame - Collective Views for Equality project brings voices, experiences and perspectives into a shared space of reflection and dialogue.

This plenary session goes beyond presenting project results: it opens a collective conversation on equality as a lived, relational and evolving process. Through intersectional perspectives and stories emerging from different contexts, the discussion explores how rights take shape when diverse identities meet, listen and recognise each other.

An invitation to contribute, to expand the field of possibilities, and to continue building shared visions capable of transforming what still limits inclusion and equality in Europe.

Che Europa emerge dalle esperienze di mobilità, e come può tradursi in partecipazione attiva?

All’ European Projects Festival 2026, parleremo di come l’Europa viene vissuta attraverso mobilità, partecipazione e costruzione di comunità.

A partire dall’esperienza di Erasmus Student Network Italy (ESN), una delle più grandi reti studentesche europee, l’incontro esplora come i programmi Erasmus+ contribuiscano a costruire senso di appartenenza, identità condivise e cittadinanza attiva. Al centro non solo le politiche, ma le esperienze concrete delle persone e il loro impatto nel tempo.

What kind of Europe emerges from mobility experiences, and how can it become active citizenship?

At the European Projects Festival 2026, we will discuss how Europe is lived by young people through mobility, participation and community-building.

Starting from the experience of Erasmus Student Network Italy (ESN), one of the largest student networks in Europe, the discussion highlights how Erasmus+ and mobility programmes contribute to shaping a sense of belonging, shared identity and active citizenship. Beyond policies and frameworks, the focus is on lived experience, and on how these experiences can translate into long-term engagement.

A generational perspective on Europe, where mobility is not just movement, but a space for participation, connection and civic growth.

EPF 2026 ospita Avvocata Cathy La Torre | L’uguaglianza è un cantiere aperto

All’ European Projects Festival 2026, Cathy La Torre porta una riflessione potente sull’uguaglianza come processo aperto, mai concluso.

Dalle conquiste del passato alle sfide del presente, l’incontro attraversa diritti che non sono mai dati una volta per tutte, ma continuamente costruiti e difesi. In un’Europa attraversata da avanzamenti e arretramenti - sui diritti di genere, riproduttivi e LGBTQ+ - la domanda è urgente: come continuiamo a costruire uguaglianza oggi?

In dialogo con il progetto WE Frame - Collective Views for Equality, questo intervento intreccia generazioni, esperienze e prospettive, invitando non a un consenso passivo, ma a una partecipazione attiva.

At the European Projects Festival 2026, Cathy La Torre brings a powerful reflection on equality as an ongoing, unfinished journey.

From historic milestones to current challenges, the session explores how rights are never simply granted, but continuously negotiated and defended. In a Europe marked by both progress and backlash - on gender equality, reproductive rights and LGBTQ+ rights - the question becomes urgent: how do we keep building equality today?

In dialogue with the WE Frame - Collective Views for Equality project, this talk weaves together generations, experiences and perspectives - inviting not passive agreement, but active participation.

Because equality, in Europe, is either built every day, or it is lost.
