VISIT TO ARCHIVIO MISSONI
Sumirago (VA)

We had the opportunity to visit the Missoni Archive, where the history of the iconic brand is carefully preserved. Founded in 1953 by Rosita and Ottavio Missoni, the house became one of the pioneers of Italian prêt-à-porter while also creating opportunities for women in the local community to work close to home.

Walking through the archive felt less like visiting a museum and more like stepping inside a vibrant kaleidoscope of color and texture. We saw original sketches, hand-painted grids, extraordinary fabric swatches that resembled abstract artworks, and historical garments that demonstrated how knitwear can be as structured and innovative as architecture.

An inspiring experience and a true immersion into the DNA of Italian knitwear. ✨🧶🎨

Celebrating International Women’s Day with an amazing lunch at Ristorante Della Torre 🌸✨ It was such a wonderful way to honor and appreciate all the incredible women in our lives. Last Sunday, March 8, our International Club group attended the guided tour of the exhibition Sophia Loren: The Myth of Beauty Drawn with Light at M.A.X. Museo in Chiasso.

The exhibition featured around 200 iconic photographs, spanning over 60 years of Sophia Loren’s life and career—from behind-the-scenes moments of her most famous films to more personal, intimate portraits.

It was a special way to celebrate International Women’s Day, honoring the journey of a woman who rose from a poor childhood in Pozzuoli, near Naples, to become a global cinema icon.

The afternoon concluded with art, history, and inspiration all in one. ✨
