🇹🇷 We are delighted to bring the COrALp project to the XVIII OPTIMA Meeting, an important gathering of the Mediterranean botanical community.
Today, Prof. Tiziana Ulian, Dipartimento di Scienze della Vita e Biologia dei Sistemi Università degli Studi di Torino, together with Prof. Fatih Demirci, Anadolu Üniversitesi, Türkiye, co-organised and co-chaired the symposium “Sustainable Use and Conservation of Mediterranean Plants”, with a particular focus on wild edible plants.
The symposium brought together researchers working on the conservation, sustainable use and valorisation of Mediterranean plant diversity.
🌱 Dr Paula Ros presented the COrALp project and shared preliminary results from her PhD research, focusing on the development of a transboundary database of wild plant species of the Latin Alps and ongoing seed germination studies.
🏔️ COrALp brings together partners from Italy and France to conserve and sustainably valorise the remarkable diversity of wild edible and ornamental plants of the Latin Alps, connecting scientific research, traditional knowledge, seed conservation and sustainable use, while strengthening cross-border knowledge exchange and cooperation.
