A community in its pioneer phase is full of possibilities. Shared visions. Inspiration. Hope.

And sooner or later, the real work begins.

Differences become visible.
Expectations can collide.
Resources can limited.
People may feel unseen, unheard, or misunderstood.
Old wounds and familiar patterns can start to surface.

The our chosen values about are no longer ideas on paper. They are invited to become lived experience. And questions arise as:

Can we embody trust when trust is challenged?
Can we embody freedom while also taking responsibility?
Can we stay curious when we disagree?
Can we remain connected when things become uncomfortable?

It is relatively easy to love a community for its potential. The greater challenge may be loving it for what it is today: imperfect, human, messy, evolving, and still finding its way.

Because community is not built through shared dreams alone. It grows through the way we meet each other when those dreams are tested.

And that we get to practice and embody every day at our Villaggio ❤️ this is the work and we feel incredibly blessed and grateful to be part of this proces!

Last night felt like a true milestone for Villaggio del Cuore.

After months of dreaming, building, planning, and hard work, we officially fired up our pizza oven for the very first time and celebrated our first community pizza night together.

A huge thank you to Facocero, who brought over 20 years of pizza-making experience to the table, and to Volpe, who joined him in crafting a delicious variety of pizzas that were enjoyed by everyone. The oven passed its first test with flying colours, and so did the pizzas!

More than just sharing food, it was a beautiful opportunity to pause, connect, laugh, and celebrate together after an intense period of work. There is something special about gathering around a fire, sharing a meal made with care, and enjoying it with friends and fellow Villaggio pioneers.

Moments like these remind us that community is not only built through projects and hard work, but also through the simple joy of coming together.

Here’s to many more pizza nights, shared meals, and unforgettable evenings under the Italian sky. 🍕❤️🔥

LOOKING FOR A SEWING VOLUNTEER / WORK EXCHANGE
Villaggio del Cuore – Italy

This spring and summer we are continuing the creation of our first pioneer homes and we are looking for someone with sewing skills to join us for a period of volunteering or work exchange.

Right now we are building and finishing round natural tiny homes and experimenting with canvas, insulation, covers, interior fabrics, practical solutions and creative handmade details.

We are especially looking for someone who:
• enjoys practical hands-on work
• has experience with sewing or textile work
• likes creative problem solving
• feels inspired by ecological living and community life
• enjoys co-creating something meaningful from the ground up

You do not need to be “perfect” or highly professional. Practical skills, motivation, creativity and a good attitude matter most.

What we offer:
• beautiful nature in Northern Italy
• simple off-grid community life
• shared meals
• camping / simple accommodation
• connection, learning and shared creation
• possibility for work exchange for longer stays

This is a real living project in development.
Sometimes muddy.
Sometimes chaotic.
Sometimes deeply beautiful.
Usually all three in one day 😄
