Dog rescue Our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate dogs from the streets so that we can find them a safe and loving home outside Lebanon.

Back2Life Dog Rescue is an organisation based in Italy that is dedicated to helping stray and abandoned dogs in Lebanon, a country devastated by war and severe economic crisis. We work collaboratively with rescuers and shelters in Lebanon to do this. We believe that dogs can change our lives for the better and we are determined to do the same for them. To be able to continue our mission, we need your support. It sounds almost unbelievable, and yet it’s all true. ❤️

Dingo 🐕 and Dylan 🐕 are two brothers whose story began in Lebanon, where they were rescued when they were still puppies.

After arriving in Italy, they spent some time in a shelter and then in foster care, waiting for the right family to come along.

Finally, Dingo’s time came: he was adopted by a family in the UK. 🏡🇬🇧

A few months later, Dylan’s chance came too, and he also found a home… in the UK!

And here comes the part that sounds almost like a fairy tale: Dingo and Dylan ended up living just a few kilometres apart. ❤️

So, at last, the two brothers were able to see each other again.

And, as you can see, their bond had never faded. 🥹❤️

It was wonderful to receive this video from their adopters and to see that, despite the distance and everything they had been through, Dingo and Dylan recognised each other and were able to reunite.

Sometimes, miracles really do happen. ✨🐾

🚨 JACK STILL NEEDS YOUR HELP 🐾❤️
At the end of August, we were asked to help Jack, who was found almost dying on the side of a road in Lebanon. 🇱🇧
He was covered in already infected wounds and severely weakened. 💔 After weeks of treatment and care, Jack is finally doing better, but his journey is not over yet.
Unfortunately, he will soon need surgery on his eye, which can no longer be saved, and he will also need to be neutered due to severe prostate problems. 🏥🐶
Even though we are already overwhelmed with expenses and other emergencies, we cannot make Jack wait any longer. ❤️‍🩹
We have been given an estimate of $700 for his surgery, and this is why we are asking for your help. 🙏

There are some things we never want to have to write. Things that hurt even to say out loud.

Peggy is no longer with us. 💔
She left us far too soon, leaving behind a pain that is impossible to put into words.

September 7th was supposed to be her day. It was supposed to be her turn to leave her past behind and finally begin the life we had dreamed of giving her. A home, a family, love, peace. Everything she deserved.

But Peggy never got the chance.
A sudden and devastating heart attack took her from us. 😔

She had a heart condition that, sadly, we knew nothing about. Perhaps her little heart would not have survived the journey. Perhaps fate had other plans for her. But knowing this doesn't make the pain any easier to bear.

What breaks our hearts is knowing that we didn't make it in time.
We didn't make it in time to give her the life she deserved. We didn't make it in time to show her, fully, what it meant to be loved, protected, and finally happy.

And that thought hurts more than words can say.

We are heartbroken, angry, and helpless, left with a thousand questions and an enormous emptiness in our hearts.

All we can hold on to is the certainty that Peggy deserved more. So much more.
And that, even though we had so little time, we tried to do everything we could to make that future possible for her.

Forgive us, sweet Peggy, for not making it to you in time.
Run free now, little one. 🌈🐾

❤️ 25 LIVES THAT DESERVE A SECOND CHANCE
A local shelter in Lebanon has asked for our help. 🐾
Many dogs there are living in extremely difficult conditions, without access to even the most basic veterinary care.
We have decided not to stand by and do nothing. We are taking responsibility for the first 25 dogs. ❤️
These 25 wonderful dogs have simply had the misfortune of being born in the wrong place. They deserve the chance to experience a different life: medical care, walks, a safe home, and finally a family to love them.
Our goal is to provide all the necessary veterinary treatment and bring them to Italy, where they will have the opportunity to be adopted and begin a new life. 🇮🇹🐶
Before they can travel, each dog must complete the required veterinary procedures:
• 🩺 Veterinary examinations and blood tests
• 💉 Vaccinations
• 🐾 Microchipping
• 🧪 Rabies antibody titration test
For all 25 dogs, the total cost of these initial treatments is approximately $3,850.
⚠️ This amount covers veterinary procedures only. The transportation to Italy will be an additional expense that we will face once we have reached this first milestone.
For a small organization like ours, this is a significant commitment, but for these dogs it could mean the beginning of a completely new life. ❤️

RAJA NEEDS US 🐾💔

Raja was rescued in Lebanon—like many of our dogs—and arrived in Italy a year ago in search of a family she has yet to find.

Today, Raja is still in the shelter… and she’s facing a new battle.

A tumor has been found on her gum.
We don’t yet know if it’s malignant, but the situation is delicate and requires urgent testing.

Today we took her to an oncologist, who has scheduled a biopsy under sedation for Thursday to determine what it is and to act as quickly as possible.

The estimated cost of the tests is €410—
a significant amount that, for her, could make the difference between suffering and the chance for treatment.

Today Carrie is finally arriving from Lebanon 🐶✈️

Unfortunately, for the other two dogs we had announced, the airline was unable to confirm their transport due to the current war situation.

We know how important it was for them to reach their adoptive families, and we are truly sorry for this setback. With only one available spot, we had to prioritize Carrie, as she is the oldest.

We sincerely hope that a new opportunity will come soon so the other two can also travel and finally be reunited with their families ❤️

At this moment in Lebanon, there is no place for joy—only urgency.

Cindrella, Max, and Carrie have finally found a family waiting for them in Italy, but between them and safety lie the smoke of fires and the sound of bombings. The country where they were born has given them nothing but abandonment, suffering, and now the terror of war.

We have not stopped for a single moment. We are racing against time and chaos to get them out of that hell, trying to secure a flight for March 18 ✈️ The last chance to leave the rubble behind and land in the life they deserve. But every hour that passes is a risk we wish we didn’t have to take.

We won’t feel at peace until we see their paws touch Italian soil. Until then, we hold our breath, working tirelessly so that this flight can become, for them, the beginning of peace.

Cindrella has passed the pre-adoption stage.
A beautiful piece of news ❤️: a family here in Italy is waiting for her with open arms, ready to finally give her the life she deserves.

But just now, when her new life was about to begin, everything has come to a halt. 😔 Her flight on Wednesday was cancelled.

Cindrella is stuck in Lebanon, in a country that in these hours has come under bombardment again and where the airspace has been closed, with thousands of flights cancelled due to the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.

After years of suffering, waiting, and fear…
just when fate had finally opened a door for her, we cannot accept that everything stops like this.

Cindrella has nothing to do with this absurd war.
She is just a creature who has already suffered enough and who deserves to finally make it home.

We will do everything possible to bring her here.
Even if it means going to pick her up ourselves.

Because after everything she has been through,
Cindrella deserves her happy ending.

It cannot end like this.

Our little Sky 🐶❤️ — for those who don’t know him yet, he’s the small dog with a perianal tumor who is still in Lebanon — has been examined for the second time by a specialized oncologist.

The wound near the tumor, which had become infected, is now healing, and recent check-ups suggest that the tumor has slightly regressed. ❤️
We will continue to do everything possible to ensure he receives the care he needs.
