La struttura si snoda su circa 3 ettari e mezzo di superficie sabbiosa semi collinare, su cui sono stati costruiti circa 30 ampi recinti dotati di punto acqua e cibo, di talune capanne in legno e numerose cucce sparse: in essi vivono in un allegro regime di semi libertà 150 cani randagi, messi insieme dall’ osservazione della loro compatibilità caratteriale, a prescindere dalla taglia e dal sesso. Per il tesseramento annuale o per effettuare una donazione dando così un futuro a tutti i randagi ospitati, si possono seguire le seguenti modalità:

Associazione BIOS - Il “Villaggio dei Randagi” (BIOS Association – The Street Dogs Village”) is a very special shelter that was born more than 20 years ago. It is entirely and tenaciously managed by its founder Mrs Aldina Stinchi, a 66 year old woman who looks after the dogs of the shelter with no financial help by the local administrations. The Village occupies about 3 and a half hectare of semi-hilly and sandy grounds, on which about 30 huge open spaces divided by fences have been built. There are also wooden huts and several kennels spread all over the Village. Here, about 150 street dogs live almost freely, put together after observation of their characterial compatibility, regardless of their size and s*x. The dogs come from horrendous situations: abandoned, maltreated, beaten up, even thrown into the garbage... Here in the Village they find a serene environment and are looked after with love by Mrs Stinchi. As said, Mrs Stinchi carries on with no help from the institutions (which prefer to finance the so called and infamous “lager shelters”!). She collects funds from donations, yearly subscriptions to the Association (10 €), distance adoptions, and help by volunteers who organize events to raise funds. YOU TOO CAN HELP
