This social initiative # 100volunteersdays on Instagram was created in order to show the different angles of the volunteers' life in the foreign country. Happy moments and homesick, finding new friends, and finding lovely moments to upgrade their daily routine, organizing trips and working activities...the firts time living alone, solving issues, creating something together with others who are very d

ifferent and similar in the same moment. These are the immages of young people living their experience far away from their home. This is the way of personal and professional development in which European Voluntary Service enriches youth with from different part of the world.

Why do immigrants just „sit around and don’t work”? Because many are legally not allowed to - sometimes for months or even years. They’re told to be self-sufficient, but are blocked from earning money legally. As a result, some are pushed into underpaid jobs or simply entering the black market just to survive, even though most would prefer to work openly, pay taxes, and build a stable life.

In Lebanon, thousands of migrant domestic workers live under the Kafala system, which gives their employers near total control over their lives. Many face exploitation, violence, and isolation, with little to no legal protection. What was meant to regulate work has become a system that strips people of their basic rights. Raising awareness is the first step toward change.

Behind the excitement of the 2026 World Cup, something else is happening.

Stricter immigration policies, mass surveillance, and limits on protest are creating a reality where not everyone is equally welcome or safe. According to Amnesty International, the tournament could take place in a context where migrants are detained, fans are excluded, and freedom of expression is restricted.

We’ve seen this before in Qatar. And still, FIFA hasn’t changed enough. What can or will you do about this?

Over 10 million people are estimated to be stateless globally, facing severe restrictions on basic rights like education, healthcare, and employment. Stalessness is caused by conflicts of laws, the dissolution of nations, discrimination against minorities, and lack of birth registration. It is not a chosen status but a legal void that is extremely difficult to escape.

International Women’s Day, celebrated on March 8, raises awareness about women’s rights and gender equality around the world. It began in the early 20th century as part of the women’s rights movement and is now officially recognized by the United Nations. The day highlights ongoing problems such as discrimination, unequal pay, and violence against women, and encourages people to take action to promote equality.
