Alongside the works selected through our Open Call, SYMPHORIA welcomes a special collaboration with Berlin University of the Arts - Universität der Künste Berlin | Sound Studies and Sonic Arts , presenting IF I DIE by Anaparn

Developed under the guidance of Professor Daisuke Ishida within the Sound Art / Klangkunst class of the M.A. Sound Studies and Sonic Arts programme, the work joins this Saturday’s audiovisual programme at Planetarium Südtirol Alto Adige.

Anaparn

Originally from Bangkok and now based in Berlin, Anaparn is a sound artist whose practice explores sound as an experience of the present moment.

Her work focuses on how sound moves through the body, shaping physical sensations and emotional responses, and on the different ways we perceive what we hear.
Currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Sound Studies and Sonic Arts at UdK Berlin, she brings IF I DIE to SYMPHORIA as part of our special collaboration with the university.

The past few months have been a little hectic around here. So yes, we’re late with this one. But some nights deserve a second look.

A night can be remembered by what happened. Or by how it sounded.

Back at the castle, moving from one sound to another, without ever really breaking the thread.

ÄLI , Pete Melba , ALPI , Alessandro Cappelli , Marian Pichler , Giorgio Matteazzi - THANK YOU for taking your time, reading the moment, pushing it somewhere else and leaving something behind when the last track was gone.

A special thank you to for keeping everyone well fed throughout the night, to L-Acoustics for the sound and Melissa Pircali for the lights. ♡

is an Amsterdam-based filmmaker and design researcher working at the intersection of technology, perception and the environments we inhabit. Her practice often connects artistic research with scientific institutions, exploring technology as something atmospheric and deeply embedded in everyday experience.

With nearly two decades behind the decks, Davide Piras is a DJ, producer and live performer whose sound moves between house, techno and everything in between. Known for his eclectic record collection and technical precision, he has released on labels including HAW S, Subwax and Shall Not Fade, and performed across Europe.

Stefano Salutt

Behind the decks since 1995, Stefano Salutt has spent three decades collecting records and exploring dance music in all its forms. From deep house and disco to the house and techno sounds of Detroit and Chicago, his selections bring together rare vinyl finds, timeless records and contemporary productions.

Philipp Steiner

Shaped by Vienna’s club scene and rave culture, DJ SOLON has been behind the decks since 2014. A founding member of MERANDERGROUND, he moves freely between deep house, electro, breakbeat and minimal tech, building sets around instinct, groove and unexpected musical connections rather than fixed genres.

Yasmin Khalify is an Italian-Tunisian newcomer to the electronic music scene. Driven by curiosity and a growing passion for electronic sounds, she is beginning to shape her own musical identity, exploring different influences along the way.

Workshop for AMA members only.

A love letter, a goodbye letter, a thank-you letter, a breakup letter.
To a friend, a lover, a parent, your pet, a place from long ago, an object in your room or a complete stranger.

An afternoon of writing, reading and experimenting with all the different forms a letter can take. Through creative prompts, words and images, Nicole Fersko will guide us through letter-writing, diaristic and photographic practices.

Mushy-gushy letters included.

The workshop will be led by Nicole Fersko an Italian-American writer from New York, based in Bolzano. Her practice moves across memoir, poetry, prose, diaries and image-text work, exploring memory, relationships, identity and the meaning of home.
She works as an art mediator at Museion and founded Sidewalk Trento and Sidewalk Bolzano.

Workshop participation requires AMA membership.

SPAZIOAMA X BAW - Bolzano Art Weeks

Il corpo sa tutto by αυγή meets Il corpo come paesaggio in trasformazione, a sound intervention by francesco cigana

Illustration, ceramics, writing and a mural created for SPAZIOAMA come into dialogue with sound research and improvisation. Two practices meeting around the body - its shifts, its balance, its continuous transformation.

Il corpo sa tutto begins with the body as a place we inhabit: arms, feet, fingers, bones and skin, but also thoughts, sensations, balance and its absence.

Avghi’s work moves through what it means to lose your place and find it again. To let go, listen, change position. Like a garden that never stays the same - things grow, disappear and grow somewhere else.
And we move with them.

Meet αυγή
Born in Crete in 1988 and based in Bolzano, Avghi works from her home-studio on the way up towards the mountains.

Her practice is deeply narrative, moving between illustration, painting, ceramics, textiles and mixed techniques. Different languages become ways of telling stories, learning and making sense of things - often tracing small paths towards self-care and liberation.

In 2021, her first illustrated book Libico, written and illustrated by her, was published by Balena Gobba.
For Il corpo sa tutto, her research moves into spazio AMA through works on paper, ceramics, writing and a mural created directly for the space.

BAW - Bolzano Art Weeks

Listening to the body.

For Il corpo sa tutto, francesco cigana develops a sound intervention that begins with the body understood as a changing landscape.

The music doesn’t accompany Avghi’s work. It moves alongside it - losing and finding balance, sprouting, blooming again.

Through improvisation and electroacoustic research, Cigana explores the relationships between body, matter and transformation, turning listening itself into part of the work.

We can obsess over the lineup, the sound, the setting, every last detail. But there’s a point where a party stops being ours to shape.

It happens when you arrive.

To see so many people choosing to spend that night with us, alongside friends and volunteers who have been giving their time and care to AMA, meant more than we can probably put into words.

So, to everyone who keeps giving these nights their own character and to the friends and volunteers who put so much into making them happen, THANK YOU! We mean it.

Who’ll keep us moving ↓

ÄLI | Italian-born, Berlin-based DJ known for patient, groove-led sets that adapt to the room, flowing from warm and jazzy to Detroit and acid-driven. She co-founded Club Recordo and hosts Erlebnis Music as a resident on Rough Radio.

Pete Melba | Leeds-based DJ, producer, and promoter with nearly 20 years in house, garage, and breaks. A key figure behind Planet Orange, he has shaped the local underground scene and released on labels like Magic Carpet and Oblique Records.

Alessandro Cappelli | Alessandro Cappelli is an Italian DJ inspired by the intersection of house and techno. His style blends sounds of the past and present, combining extended vocals and deep sounds in a pursuit of something truly original.

ALPI | Duo Daniele Alessi and Gabriel Pivaro, from Bolzano. Since 2014 they’ve been developing a sound driven by vinyl and repetition, where tribal elements open a ritual, immersive space.

Marian Pichler | is an Italian DJ, active since 2014. and part of “Lazent” trio, his sound is shaped by Italian house, UK 90s club culture, timeless cuts and dub versions. His sets connect nostalgic grooves with contemporary energy.

GRG (Giorgio Matteazzi) | Italian-Filipino DJ playing almost exclusively with the resident trio “Lazent.” Known for genre-shifting sets, he blends 90s and 00s UK electronic influences with the golden era of Italo house and classic Italian productions.

On September 5, we return to Castel Firmiano - Schloss Sigmundskron. Ten hours of music, from 6PM to 4AM. And yes, we thought about dinner too.

Food for the night by

Born in 2023, Muffa_project brings together food, fermentation and experimentation. Founded by Giacomo, the project has grown through catering, artistic projects and collaborations, developing a cuisine shaped by contamination in every sense: microbes and bacteria from fermented ingredients, but also flavours, traditions and stories from near and far.
