EmpowerAge has officially started in Italy 🇮🇹

The first session has already taken place in Bologna in a hybrid format, both offline and online with La Casa del Faro APS

And this means: women can join the programme from different cities across Italy.

But this was more than just an introduction.
It was the beginning of a space where:
— women connect and share their stories
— there is no judgement and no “wrong answers”
— real conversations about age, confidence, and change begin

Because before learning digital tools, we start with something deeper: understanding the barriers women face - including ageism, both external and internal.

✨ This is what EmpowerAge is about.

‼️And yes! There are still places available.

Spring is coming 🌿
A season of change, renewal and new beginnings.
But change doesn’t happen on its own.
We create it - through the systems we build, the opportunities we offer, and the voices we choose to listen to.

Today, the digital world is evolving faster than ever.
Yet millions of women are still being left behind.

📊 Across Europe:
• Nearly 40% of adults lack basic digital skills.
• Women over 40 are significantly underrepresented in the tech sector.
• Many women face age bias when seeking new jobs or digital training opportunities.
• At the same time, Europe is experiencing a growing shortage of digital talent.

This isn’t just a skills gap.
It’s an opportunity gap.
And that’s exactly why the EmpowerAge project exists.

💡 EmpowerAge (The A40s La Casa del Faro APS MediAlena Digital & Media Agency) is developing a 16-week training programme and a practical Toolkit to help women 40+ strengthen their digital and professional skills and access new opportunities.

But before building solutions, we want to listen.
