A new desk, a different language, and the first work experience away from home.

For the next two months, Aicha will be working alongside us in our Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto offices.

She joins us from Spain through Progetto Alma to support the team with day to day administration: mobility documents, welcoming participants, and internal logistics.

Just enough time to set up logins, run through the week’s priorities, and settle into the team's rhythm the work has officially begun.

The first day of a mobility project always carries a distinct silence: unpacked bags and a head full of questions.
With our Spanish ALMA group, we started right there. 🇪🇦

Folders closed, and a table at the local bar for granita and brioche: ten minutes to figure out how to tear off the tuppo without making a mess, and watching shoulders finally drop.

Then we set out to walk through Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto. Cautious and tightly grouped at first; shortly after, already picking up the pace and trying to decipher the street signs.

Independence always begins this way: the exact moment the fear of the unknown gives way to curiosity.

With the Spanish group from the ALMA project, we started right there. Not with a motivational speech, but around a table: folders closed, phones set aside, and a granita with warm brioche at the local café.

The first ten minutes were dedicated just to that: figuring out how to tear off the tuppo, laughing through the awkwardness of the first bite, and watching shoulders finally drop a few centimetres. The tension of the journey dissolving into a smile.

Then we stood up and started walking through the streets of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto.

The first steps are always hesitant as you take in the surroundings, but with the right guidance, the town stops feeling foreign and starts feeling like the place that will host you.

Growth always begins this way: not when everything is under control, but the exact moment the fear of the unknown gives way to curiosity about where you’ve landed.

We had the pleasure of hosting a group of 11 participants from Romania, representing two wonderful associations:

During their mobility in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto (Sicily), they took part in three enriching training courses:
📘 Learning Disabilities
💛 Improving Social & Emotional Learning in Adult Education
🔐 Online Security

Beyond the training, they explored the beauty of Sicily and its natural treasures:
🌿 the evocative Jalari Park Museum, with its unique blend of art, tradition and breathtaking views
🌋 the stunning Aeolian Islands, discovering the magic of Vulcano and Lipari, between crystal‑clear waters and unforgettable landscapes

A journey filled with learning, culture and meaningful connections.

From 25 May to 25 July 2026, four students from Lycée Samuel de Champlain (France) completed a 9‑week internship in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, working in the fields of accounting and communication. 🇫🇷✨

During their stay, they discovered the beauty of Sicily — its culture, its traditions, its food, and of course its stunning sea. 🌊🌞
An unforgettable experience of growth, teamwork and international exchange.

Erasmus magic in Sicily! 🇮🇹✨
Students from N. Haytov High School spent two amazing weeks in Barcellona PG (06.07–19.07), working as gardeners, interior design and carpenters. 🌿🪵🎨

Sea days, Sicilian sunsets, and trips to Palermo, Etna, Taormina, Cefalù, and Castelbuono made this experience unforgettable. 🌅🌊💙

Our final online Pre-Departure Training is an important step to make sure everyone feels informed, confident, and ready for the journey ahead. 🚀 Today marks the beginning of a new journey for EProjectConsult.

We are proud to officially launch REMEDY 2.0 – Recalling Memories in Diversity 2.0 with today's online Kick-off Meeting!

Over the next two years, we will work alongside partners from 8 European countries, united by a shared vision: strengthening democratic values, promoting active European citizenship, and contributing to a more inclusive, participatory, resilient and digitally empowered Europe. 🌍

As coordinator of this CERV-funded project, EProjectConsult had the pleasure of welcoming the consortium to discuss the first steps of our collaboration, define the implementation roadmap, and prepare the activities that will soon engage citizens across Europe.

During the meeting, we also shared a common ambition for the journey ahead: to create meaningful experiences that go beyond traditional formats, encouraging creativity, innovation and new ways of connecting citizens with Europe’s shared history, democratic values and future challenges.

📅 Our first online event is already scheduled for 28 July 2026, opening a series of local, international and online initiatives where dialogue, storytelling and participation will be at the heart of every activity.

Together, we will explore memories, exchange perspectives and experiment with new approaches to inspire citizens to actively shape our common European future.

We are excited to embark on this journey together and can't wait to share our progress with you.
