🌍 Looking forward to welcoming the EMPOWER+ youth delegations from Africa to Europe!

These exchanges will create valuable opportunities for learning, dialogue, and collaboration, empowering young people to become active leaders in their communities.

NEWS UPDATE: A group of Tlokweng youth are expected to participate in international capacity-building and exchange programmes in Romania, Greece, Italy, and Mauritius between August this year and November 2027. This was revealed by the Tlokweng District Council Chairperson Ontiretse Bogatsu at a full council meeting on Monday. They are part of the Empower + Youth Parliament Programme, an initiative supported through international partnerships aimed at strengthening youth participation in governance, civic engagement, digital resilience and leadership development. She said that land allocation in Tlokweng is still a big challenge due to unavailability of serviced land.

International exchange in Sicily. Throughout April and May, we hosted vocational students from Sweden and Finland specializing in hospitality, tourism, property maintenance, and HVAC installation.

Alongside their practical training, the students had a great opportunity to explore the island, experience the local culture, and enjoy the Sicilian sun. It was a productive and highly enjoyable stay for everyone involved. Tack & Kiitos!

International exchange of experiences! This past May, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting teachers from Sweden who visited us for a job shadowing programme.

It was a highly productive time focused on practical learning. Our guests had the opportunity to see firsthand how agriculture is taught and practiced here in Sicily. We spent the days sharing best practices, observing different methods, and exchanging ideas. Thank you for such a wonderful visit.🤝

A wonderful Erasmus+ chapter for the students of Collège Da Vinci (Belgium)! This group spent an enriching week in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, attending inspiring lessons on European values at the local school ITT Fermi. 🇪🇺

Throughout the week, they immersed themselves in Italian school life, exchanged ideas with local students, and explored what it truly means to be part of a shared European community. The experience strengthened their curiosity, cultural awareness, and sense of belonging. 🌍

These students discovered some of Sicily’s most iconic cultural and natural treasures: 🌊 Cefalù – crystal blue waters and postcard perfect views 🎭 Taormina – the Ancient Theatre and the Naumachia, timeless symbols of classical heritage 🌋 Etna – Europe’s highest active volcano and a breathtaking natural wonder 🏛️ Tindari – archaeology, mythology, and sweeping panoramic beauty 🎨 Parco Museo Jalari – a journey through Sicilian traditions, art, and craftsmanship 🌅 Milazzo – a charming coastal town with its historic castle and stunning views of the Aeolian horizon

Another amazing Erasmus+ mobility has reached its final chapter

Over the past months, students from IES Calero (IMOT) and CIFP La Torreta completed their training placements in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto

From electrical and automation systems to automotive technology, aesthetics, hairdressing and healthcare documentation, each participant had the opportunity to develop new skills.

It has been a pleasure to support these students throughout their journey and watch them grow both personally and professionally. We wish them every success in the future!

The Belgian students dove into a Sicilian cooking class, discovering the secrets of our traditional recipes, the aromas of local ingredients, and the joy of preparing a meal together. 👩‍🍳🔥

Between laughter, teamwork, and lots of delicious food, they learned not just how to cook… but how to live the true Sicilian gastronomic spirit.

And the best part?
A beautiful dinner all together, tasting everything they created — a perfect mix of culture, flavours, and unforgettable moments. 🌅🍷

Another unforgettable Erasmus+ experience comes to an end

Over the last few months, students from CIFP Juníper Serra, IES Romero Vargas (IMOT), Salesianos Morón de la Frontera, IES Politécnico Sevilla and Consorcio La Salle carried out their internships in Milazzo

From hotel services, administration, IT, commercial activities and so on every participant had the chance to strengthen their practical skills.

✨ We’re excited to share the wonderful experience of the students from ITT Frans Fischer (Belgium)!
They spent their Erasmus+ mobility at the cozy B&B My Friend Antonia in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto — just a short walk from the city’s main attractions and the warm everyday life of Sicily. 🌞
During their stay, they attended an Italian language course, working hard to reach the A2 level. From greetings to conversations, they embraced the language with enthusiasm, curiosity, and plenty of smiles. And yes… they can now order a Sicilian granita like true locals! 🍋
They also gained hands on experience in various local companies, exploring different fields such as healthcare (OSS), IT, and administrative assistance. Each student brought their own energy and talent, learning new skills while discovering how Sicilian workplaces operate. 💼

The students from ITT Frans Fischer (Belgium) spent an unforgettable mobility experience in Milazzo, waking up every day with a breathtaking view of the Aeolian Islands — the perfect backdrop for three weeks of learning, creativity, and discovery.

Their journey took them inside local hairdressing salons, where they practiced new techniques, learned from Sicilian professionals, and brought their own sparkle to every client they met. The salons quickly became their second home, filled with laughter, teamwork, and hands on experience.

But the magic didn’t stop there. They also joined a wonderful Sicilian cooking course, diving into the history of local cuisine, preparing traditional dishes, and ending the day with a joyful dinner — enjoying everything they had cooked together. A true taste of Sicily, shared around the table.

And of course… the adventures continued with amazing excursions: 🌆 Palermo — culture, colours, and endless stories 🌊 Cefalù — crystal blue waters and postcard views 🏛️ Parco Museo Jalari — art, traditions, and pure Sicilian soul Every moment was filled with smiles, curiosity, and new memories.
