Office hours are 0800-1630 Monday - Friday.

The American Red Cross was founded on May 21, 1881 by Clara Barton. Barton heard of the Swiss-inspired Red Cross global network, and advocated for the formation of the American Red Cross as well as the ratification of the Geneva Convention following the Civil War. During her 23 years leading the American Red Cross, Barton also campaigned for peace time relief work, which has shaped the modern Red

Cross. Today, the American Red Cross has five key service areas-

*Health and Safety Services, including training in First Aid and CPR among many others
*Disaster Relief, ranging from home fires to hurricanes
*Lifesaving Blood, as the largest single supplier of blood products in the US
*Supporting America's Military Families, including emergency communications
*International Services, as part of the global Red Cross and Red Crescent network
