The MEDDIET Working Group Meeting – Interactive Policy Workshop will bring participants together for an interactive Cross-Pillar Dialogue in World Café format, moving from inspiration and discussion towards practical policy design.

The MEDDIET Working Group Meeting – Interactive Policy Workshop will move from inspiration to evidence from the field, with four rapid Lightning Pitches showcasing concrete, tested models and approaches that could be replicated, connected or scaled across borders.

🚛 The Adriatic-Ionian Corridor: A Strategic Priority for Regional Connectivity and Economic Cooperation

How can better transport connectivity strengthen the competitiveness of businesses across the Adriatic-Ionian Region?

This was the focus of the panel discussion “The Adriatic-Ionian Corridor: A Route Transforming the Region’s Economic Map”, held during the ADRIA NEXT regional conference in Budva, Montenegro.

Representing the Forum of Adriatic-Ionian Chambers of Commerce (Forum AIC), President Joze Tomaš highlighted the importance of developing an integrated transport system connecting motorways, railways and ports to unlock the corridor’s full economic potential.

The discussion, moderated by Pavle D. Radovanović, Vice-President of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, also featured contributions from other Forum AIC members:

🌿 Towards an EUSAIR Mediterranean Diet Innovation Network and Ecosystem
On 16 October 2026, Ancona will host the MEDDIET Working Group Meeting – Interactive Policy Workshop, organized within the Italian EUSAIR, bringing together stakeholders from across the Adriatic-Ionian Region to explore new opportunities for cooperation around the Mediterranean Diet.

The meeting forms part of the EUSAIR cross-pillar cooperation among Pillar 1 – Blue Sustainable Economy, Pillar 4 – Sustainable Tourism and Pillar 5 – Improved Social Cohesion. It will be hosted by the Marche Region and the Forum AIC, in collaboration with Marche Polytechnic University and the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative. The event is supported by the three EUSAIR Governance Point projects – EUSAIR Facility Point, StEP and SP4EUSAIR – co-funded by the Interreg IPA ADRION Programme.

The workshop will focus on building the foundations of an EUSAIR Mediterranean Diet Innovation Network and Ecosystem, connecting universities and research centres, Living Labs, Biodistricts, agri-food partnerships, Chambers of Commerce, businesses, public institutions and civil society.

Expect an interactive day featuring:

👏 That’s a wrap on the 2nd Joint Meeting of the GPP2ADRION Transnational Network!

Today, we brought together GPP practitioners, stakeholders, and project partners across the ADRION region for an inspiring session dedicated to making Green Public Procurement actionable and impactful.

Here are the key takeaways from our meeting:
🗺️Network Roadmap & Priorities: Angela Plaku (Forum AIC) shared the project's progress and outlined our roadmap for building a long-term, collaborative GPP community across the EUSAIR region.
🍽️Sustainable University Catering: Concetta Di Napoli and her team (Polytechnic University of Turin) showcased practical applications of green criteria in university food service management, from reducing food waste to enhanced environmental sustainability.
💻Regional Procurement in Practice: Konstantina Lantavou (Region of Western Greece) presented regional green procurement strategies, focusing on voluntary measures to restrict single-use plastics and integrate green specifications into IT and printing procurement.
📊Co-designing Future Activities: Through interactive Live Polls and open discussions led by Alessio Niosi (Forum AIC), participants provided valuable feedback to shape our upcoming activities and priorities.

🇮🇹🇭🇷 NAVIMORE & REDETE 2026 | A week of cross-border cooperation

🚀 NAVIMORE is officially underway!

On 8 September, Forum AIC participated at the Kick-off Meeting of NAVIMORE, the new Interreg Italy-Croatia project, marking the beginning of a new journey towards stronger cooperation and more effective cross-border governance between Italy and Croatia.

The meeting provided an opportunity to align on the project's objectives, activities and next steps, with a particular focus on interoperability and the development of a Cross-Border Governance Model.

🏛️ And yesterday, we were at REDETE 2026 in Ancona.

Forum AIC was present at the 13th REDETE Conference as a supporting organisation, promoting dialogue and transnational cooperation across the Adriatic–Ionian Area. During the conference, NAVIMORE was also presented as part of our ongoing work to overcome data fragmentation and strengthen governance in the macroregion.

🔗 By strengthening interoperability and fostering closer institutional cooperation, NAVIMORE aims to support more coordinated approaches across borders and build governance solutions that can respond to shared challenges and opportunities in the Italy–Croatia area.

📢 REDETE 2026 | Researching Economic Development and Entrepreneurship

How can the Adriatic–Ionian region strengthen its resilience in a rapidly changing geopolitical and economic landscape?

The REDETE 2026 Conference will take place on 9–10 September 2026 in Ancona, Italy, at Università Politecnica delle Marche, bringing together researchers, institutions, businesses and regional stakeholders.

🌍 Forum AIC at the Eurochambres Affiliated and Correspondent Members Meeting in İstanbul

The future of European cooperation is shaped not only within the EU, but also through strong connections with its wider neighbourhood.

Forum AIC President Jože Tomaš and Vice-President Pavle Radovanovic took part in the Eurochambres Affiliated and Correspondent Members Meeting, hosted in İstanbul by TOBB – Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye. The meeting brought together chambers and business organisations from across Europe and its neighbouring regions.

The discussions focused on key developments affecting businesses and regional cooperation, including:
🔷 EU enlargement and the evolving European economic landscape
🔷 The war in Ukraine and its impact on trade, connectivity and security
🔷 The growing strategic importance of the Black Sea region
🔷 Stronger cooperation among chambers across Europe and its neighbourhood

During the meeting, President Tomaš presented Forum AIC, its mission and activities, highlighting its role in fostering cooperation among chambers and business communities and strengthening dialogue across the Adriatic-Ionian region and wider Europe. He also highlighted his active involvement in the Eurochambres Chief Economists Group, contributing to discussions on key economic developments and challenges facing European businesses.

The participation of both Forum AIC representatives further underlined the Forum’s commitment to strengthening cooperation among chambers across the region and beyond, fostering dialogue and building stronger connections within the European chamber network.
