Eye Positions and Brain Activation: The Power of Neurotherapy
Eye positions can activate specific areas of the brain, enabling access to deep emotions such as shame and fear. When the eyes move to certain directions, called "spots," these positions are directly linked to specific neural circuits, allowing individuals to relive significant emotional experiences.
EMI (Eye Movement Integration) is considered a Neurotherapy because of its unique ability to access these neurological states more deeply compared to other techniques. By observing and utilizing eye movements, EMI can map out specific emotions, facilitating the processing of trauma and emotional integration.
While other therapies often focus solely on cognitive or behavioral aspects, EMI works at a neurophysiological level, stimulating the connection between mind and body. This depth allows for more comprehensive healing, resolving emotional conflicts rooted in the brain and reducing the impact of traumatic states.
