نظّمت منظمة جنائن بابل لحماية البيئة جلسة حوارية تناولت الواقع البيئي في محافظة نينوى، بحضور عدد من ممثلي المؤسسات الحكومية ومنظمات المجتمع المدني.
وأكد المشاركون خلال الجلسة على أهمية تكاتف الجهود بين الجهات الرسمية والمنظمات غير الحكومية، والعمل بشكل مشترك لوضع حلول مستدامة تسهم في حماية البيئة والحفاظ على الموارد الطبيعية في المحافظة. كما شددوا على ضرورة تعزيز الوعي المجتمعي عبر إطلاق حملات توعوية، ودعم المبادرات المحلية التي تشجع على تبني السلوكيات البيئية السليمة.
وتطرقت النقاشات إلى أبرز التحديات التي يواجهها القطاع البيئي في نينوى، ومن بينها شح المياه، وتراجع الغطاء النباتي، فضلًا عن مشكلات التلوث وانعكاساتها على صحة السكان.
واختُتمت الجلسة بالتأكيد على أن تحسين الواقع البيئي يتطلب تنسيقًا مستمرًا وجهودًا مشتركة من جميع الأطراف المعنية، لضمان تحقيق تنمية بيئية مستدامة في المحافظة.
Janayin Babel Organization for Environmental Protection(JEP) organized a panel discussion addressing the environmental situation in Nineveh Governorate, with the participation of representatives from government institutions and civil society organizations.
During the session, participants emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between official entities and non-governmental organizations, and of working collaboratively to develop sustainable solutions that contribute to environmental protection and the preservation of natural resources in the governorate. They also highlighted the need to enhance public awareness through awareness campaigns and to support local initiatives that promote environmentally responsible behavior.
The discussions explored the most pressing environmental challenges facing Nineveh, including water scarcity, the decline of green spaces, and pollution issues along with their impact on public health.
The session concluded with a strong emphasis on the need for continuous coordination and joint efforts among all stakeholders to improve the environmental situation and achieve sustainable environmental development in the governorate.
