بمناسبة يوم الطفل العالمي، نظم متطوعو منظمة النجدة الشعبية في السليمانية نشاطًا ترفيهيًا للأطفال، تضمن سفرة خارجية وفعاليات فنية وإبداعية.
🎨 عبّر الأطفال عن أحلامهم وطموحاتهم المستقبلية من خلال الرسم، وسط أجواء مليئة بالمرح والتفاعل، كما تم توزيع الهدايا لإدخال الفرحة إلى قلوبهم.
يأتي النشاط ضمن جهود المنظمة في دعم الأطفال، وتنمية مواهبهم، وتعزيز دور العمل التطوعي والمبادرات المجتمعية.

خۆبەخشانی ڕێکخراوی پاو لە سلێمانی، چالاکییەکی تایبەتیان بۆ ژمارەیەک لە منداڵان ڕێکخست ، لە شارۆچکەی بەردەقارەمان
منداڵان لە ژینگەیەکی پڕ لە خۆشی و هاوکاری، لە ڕێگەی وێنەکێشانەوە خەون، ئاوات بۆ داهاتوو دەربڕی، هەروەها دیارییە جۆراوجۆرەکانیشیان وەرگرت بۆ ئەوەی خۆشی و پێکەنین بخەنە دڵیان.
ئەم چالاکییە بەشێکە لە هەوڵە بەردەوامەکانی ڕێکخراوەکە بۆ پشتگیری لە منداڵان، گەشەپێدانی بەهرە و تواناکانیان، و بەرزکردنەوەی ڕۆڵی کاری خۆبەخشانە و دەستپێشخەرییە کۆمەڵایەتییەکان لە خزمەتی کۆمەڵگا.

On the occasion of Universal Children's Day, volunteers from the Public Aid Organization (PAO) organized a recreational activity for children in Sulaymaniyah, featuring an outdoor trip and creative activities.
🎨 Children expressed their dreams and future aspirations through art in a joyful and interactive atmosphere, while gifts were distributed to celebrate the occasion.
The activity reflects PAO's commitment to supporting children, nurturing their talents, and promoting volunteerism and community initiatives.

ضمن مشروع "مبادرة شاملة للمياه الآمنة والصحة البيئية والصحة النفسية والرفاه النفسي والاجتماعي للاجئين السوريين في العراق"، نفذت منظمة Save the Children بالتعاون مع منظمة النجدة الشعبية، الجهة المنفذة للمشروع، تدريبًا متخصصًا حول "العائلات الآمنة"، بوصفه أحد أبرز الأنشطة الهادفة إلى تعزيز حماية الأطفال ودعم استقرار الأسر في مخيمات اللاجئين السوريين.
وأُقيم التدريب خلال الفترة من 15 إلى 18 حزيران 2026 في مدينة أربيل، بمشاركة كادر المشروع، بهدف تطوير قدراتهم الفنية والعملية في تنفيذ الأنشطة المتعلقة بحماية الطفل وتعزيز بيئة أسرية آمنة وداعمة.
ركز التدريب على تزويد المشاركين بالمعارف والمهارات اللازمة لتطبيق منهجية "العائلات الآمنة" بما يسهم في تعزيز الصحة النفسية والرفاه النفسي والاجتماعي للأطفال وأسرهم، ويدعم جهود الاستجابة الإنسانية داخل مخيمي كوركوسك وداراشكران للاجئين السوريين في أربيل.
ويأتي هذا النشاط في إطار الجهود المشتركة الرامية إلى بناء قدرات الكوادر الميدانية وتحسين جودة الخدمات المقدمة للأطفال والعائلات اللاجئة، بما يضمن توفير بيئة أكثر أمانًا واستقرارًا للفئات الأكثر هشاشة.

As part of the project "Comprehensive Initiative for Safe Water, Environmental Health, Mental Health, and Psychosocial Well-being of Syrian Refugees in Iraq," Save the Children, in cooperation with the Public Aid Organization (PAO) as the implementing partner, conducted a specialized training on "Safe Families." The training is considered one of the project's key activities aimed at enhancing child protection and supporting family stability in Syrian refugee camps.
The training was held from 15–18 June 2026 in Erbil, with the participation of project staff, and aimed to strengthen their technical and practical capacities in implementing child protection activities and promoting safe and supportive family environments.
The sessions focused on equipping participants with the knowledge and skills required to apply the Safe Families methodology, contributing to improved mental health and psychosocial well-being for children and their families, while supporting humanitarian response efforts in Kawergosk and Darashakran Syrian refugee camps in Erbil.
This activity forms part of the joint efforts to build the capacities of field staff and enhance the quality of services provided to refugee children and families, ensuring a safer and more stable environment for the most vulnerable groups.

ندوة توعوية لتعزيز صحة الأم والطفل في بازيان

نظّمت منظمة النجدة الشعبية (PAO)، ضمن مشروع التعافي متعدد السنوات، ندوة توعوية في منطقة بازيان بمحافظة السليمانية حول التغذية الصحية للأم والجنين والرضيع، بمشاركة أولياء أمور وأعضاء لجان أولياء الأمور والمعلمين (PTA).
وتناولت الندوة أهمية التغذية السليمة خلال الحمل والرضاعة، وأساسيات الرضاعة الطبيعية والتغذية التكميلية، إلى جانب سبل الوقاية من سوء التغذية. وشهدت تفاعلًا ونقاشات مثمرة عززت الوعي الصحي لدى المشاركين، في إطار جهود المنظمة لدعم صحة الأم والطفل ونشر الثقافة الصحية.

PAO Holds Nutrition Awareness Seminar for Mothers and Children in Bazian

The Public Aid Organization (PAO), through the Recovery Multi Year project, organized a nutrition awareness seminar in Bazian, Sulaymaniyah, bringing together parents and members of Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs).
The session highlighted the importance of proper nutrition during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as well as breastfeeding practices, complementary feeding, and ways to prevent malnutrition. The seminar featured active discussions and strong participant engagement, reinforcing healthy nutrition practices as part of PAO’s ongoing efforts to support maternal and child health.

بمناسبة شهر البيئة، نظم مكتب منظمة النجدة الشعبية في البصرة ورشة عمل تخصصية لمراجعة وثيقة "مبادئ البصرة" وإطلاع منظمات المجتمع المدني على أبرز مضامينها وتوصياتها، بهدف تعزيز العمل المشترك لمواجهة التحديات البيئية والتغيرات المناخية في المحافظة.
وتناولت الورشة مجموعة من القضايا المحورية، من بينها آثار التغير المناخي على البصرة، وأهمية حماية المدافعين عن البيئة، وتعزيز مبادئ الشفافية والمساءلة والعدالة البيئية، مع التركيز على ضمان إشراك الفئات الهشة، بما في ذلك النساء والأطفال والأشخاص ذوو الإعاقة.

احتفاءً بيوم البيئة العالمي، نظم متطوعو منظمة النجدة الشعبية نشاطًا توعويًا للأطفال في مدينة السليمانية، تضمن زيارة إلى مشتل تديره إحدى متطوعات المنظمة بهدف تعزيز الوعي البيئي وتشجيع الاهتمام بالطبيعة والمساحات الخضراء.
🌱 تعرّف الأطفال على أهمية النباتات وطرق العناية بها وإعادة تدوير مخلفاتها، كما استمعوا إلى تجربة المتطوعة في تأسيس مشروع بيئي صغير وكيف يمكن للمبادرات البسيطة أن تتحول إلى مشاريع منتجة تخدم البيئة وتعزز الاستدامة.
واختُتم النشاط بتوزيع شتلات وأشجار صغيرة على الأطفال، تشجيعًا لهم على الزراعة وغرس قيم المحافظة على البيئة منذ سن مبكرة.

In celebration of World Environment Day, volunteers from the Public Aid Organization PAO organized an environmental awareness activity for children in Sulaymaniyah, including a visit to a plant nursery managed by one of the organization's volunteers to encourage environmental awareness and appreciation of nature and green spaces.
🌱 During the activity, children learned about the importance of plants, basic plant care, and environmentally friendly ways to reuse plant waste. They also heard about the volunteer’s experience in establishing a small environmental project and how simple initiatives can grow into productive projects that support sustainability and environmental protection.
The activity concluded with the distribution of seedlings and young trees to the children, encouraging them to engage in planting and develop environmental responsibility from an early age.

📸 بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للبيئة، وضمن جهود الترويج لـ مبادئ البصرة، نظمنا خلال الأسبوع الماضي جلسة حوارية بالتعاون مع مستشارية الأمن القومي، ناقشنا فيها أثر المبادئ في تعزيز العمل المدني والبيئي، بمشاركة ممثلين ومستشارين من وزارة التربية ووزارة البيئة.
كما شهدت الجلسة طرح عدد من التوصيات، أبرزها إنشاء خزانات لحصاد مياه السيول والاستفادة منها في دعم الموارد المائية ومواجهة آثار التغير المناخي.

📸 On the occasion of World Environment Day, and as part of promoting the Basra Principles, we organized a dialogue session last week in cooperation with the National Security Advisory. The session discussed the role of the Principles in strengthening civic and environmental action, with the participation of representatives and advisors from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Environment.
The discussion also produced several recommendations, most notably the establishment of rainwater and floodwater harvesting reservoirs to support water resources and enhance climate resilience.

يمثل نهر سيروان شريان حياة مهماً لمدينة حلبجة ومصدراً حيوياً للمياه والتنوع البيئي. إلا أن رمي النفايات في مجراه يهدد جودة المياه ويزيد من الضغوط البيئية التي تواجهها المنطقة.

وفي الوقت ذاته، فإن الإفراط في استخدام الأسمدة الكيميائية يترك آثاراً سلبية على التربة الزراعية ويؤثر في استدامة الإنتاج الزراعي على المدى البعيد. إن حماية نهر سيروان وتعزيز الممارسات الزراعية المستدامة يشكلان خطوة أساسية للحفاظ على البيئة ومواردها للأجيال القادمة.

Halabja — Protecting the Sirwan River is Everyone’s Responsibility 🌿

The Sirwan River is a vital lifeline for Halabja, providing water resources and supporting local biodiversity. However, waste disposal into the river threatens water quality and increases environmental pressures on the region.

At the same time, excessive use of chemical fertilizers can damage agricultural soil and undermine long-term sustainability. Protecting the Sirwan River and promoting sustainable farming practices are essential for preserving the environment and natural resources for future generations.

تتعرض غابات ومروج دهوك لضغوط متزايدة نتيجة الحرائق والتدهور البيئي، ما يهدد التنوع الحيوي ويؤثر على استقرار النظم الطبيعية في المنطقة. وفي الوقت نفسه، تتراجع مصادر المياه بشكل مقلق دون اكتراث كافٍ بالحفاظ عليها أو إدارتها بشكل مستدام.

Duhok — Forests Burning and Water Resources Declining 🌲

Forests and meadows in Duhok are under increasing pressure due to fires and environmental degradation, threatening biodiversity and the stability of local ecosystems. At the same time, water sources are declining with limited attention to their protection and sustainable management.

Protecting the environment in the mountains of Duhok is not an option but a necessity to ensure ecological balance and continuity of life through stronger environmental awareness and effective protection policies for forests and water resources.
