Nujeen for Family Democratizing Organization (NFDO) was proud to participate in the 16th FIAPAC Conference in Barcelona, from 1 to 3 of October bringing together Doctors, healthcare professionals, researchers, advocates, and organizations from around the world to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and strengthen collective efforts to advance Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).

As part of the conference, Nujeen presented its work through an e-poster highlighting the realities and challenges surrounding SRHR in Iraq and the importance of ensuring access to quality, confidential, and rights-based healthcare services.
Our participation provided a valuable opportunity to share experiences from our work in Iraq, learn from international practices, and connect with colleagues working to advance SRHR in diverse contexts including Abortion care and contraceptives.
We are grateful for the opportunity to represent our work and contribute to these important global conversations.

Over eight days, Nujeen for Family Democratizing Organization (NFDO), in collaboration with Tutapona, in Domiz-1 Refugee camp conducted a series of psychosocial awareness sessions for 17 young Syrian refugee girls aged between 13-18years old, focusing on mental health, anxiety management, and personal development.
Through these sessions, participants explored practical ways to cope with stress, overcome challenges, protect their mental well-being, and build confidence and resilience. The sessions also encouraged them to recognize their strengths, develop strong personalities, and embrace their potential as successful women and future leaders.
We believe that every woman deserves the knowledge, confidence, and support to navigate life’s challenges, protect her mental health, and create a brighter future for herself and her community.

Together, we continue to empower women, strengthen resilience, and nurture the leaders of tomorrow.

For more than five years, Nujeen for Family Democratizing Organization has been working to make contraception information, services, and choices more accessible to women, girls, young people, and communities across Kurdistan-Iraq.
Through our clinic, community awareness sessions, health-provider trainings, IEC materials, social media content, and other educational activities, we have continued to create spaces where people can access accurate information, ask questions, and make informed decisions about their reproductive health.
Over the years, our work has included:
+150 awareness sessions
+3000 people reached
+100 health providers engaged
+10,0000 IEC materials shared
Behind every number is a person who received information, a question that was answered, a conversation that challenged stigma, and a choice made with greater knowledge and confidence.
Because contraception is more than a method.
It is information. It is access. It is choice.

On the Fourth Tragic Anniversary of Jina Mahsa Amini’s Passing, Nujeen Reaffirms Its Commitment to the Path of Democracy and Freedom

Today, we remember Jina Mahsa Amini, whose tragic death became a powerful symbol of the struggle for women’s rights, dignity, freedom, and justice.

Four years later, “Woman, Life, Freedom” continues to resonate across the world. It reflects the courage and determination of women who refuse to remain silent in the face of injustice and oppression.

At Nujeen, we reaffirm our commitment to protecting and empowering women and girls, defending their rights, and working toward a society where every woman can live with dignity, freedom, and equality.

Jina remains a symbol in our hearts and a reminder that the pursuit of freedom and justice must continue.

في الذكرى الرابعة لرحيل ژينا أميني: نوژين تُجدد التزامها بنهج الديمقراطية والحرية
إن الذكرى الرابعة لرحيل “ژينا ئەمینی” ليست مجرد استذكار لحدث أليم، بل هي محطة لتجديد العهد بالوقوف بوجه كل أشكال الظلم والاضطهاد ضد المرأة.
لقد ألهمت صيحة (Jin, Jiyan, Azadi - المرأة، الحياة، الحرية) العالم بأكمله، وجسّدت الإرادة الصلبة للمرأة الكوردية في سعيها لنيل حقوقها المشروعة. ونحن في منظمة نوژين لدمقرطة العائلة ، نؤكد أن رسالتنا في حماية المرأة وتمكينها هي امتدادٌ لهذه الروح التواقة للحرية والسلام.
