Hundreds of thousands in war zones and post-war regions are now living in extremely poverty with little aid or support arriving at the ground level. The most directly affected area is Sinjar. On August 3, 2014, the so-called Islamic State "ISIS" launched its attack on the Sinjar region in Northern of Iraq, kidnapping 6,000+ women and children, killing nearly 5,000+ more than 80 mass graves have been found in Sinjar containing hundreds of Yazidi victims. Exhumation on most them has not started yet. Eighty-three mass graves have been found in Sinjar since ISIS attacked the area, in addition to tens of single graves, according to media reports. This assault led to displacement of hundreds of thousands of Yazidis. While some escaped from ISIS captivity, they suffer greatly from psychological trauma. Particularly impacted are Yazidi children who were abducted, mistreated, and taught ISIS’ ideology.
