Sewan Women’s Empowerment Organization is a non-profit, non political, non governmental independent Organization

organization establishment, aiming to work and serve the public interest and it is established and registered due to KRG Laws and legislations gained its license on the 14th of February 2007 and commenced professionally its activities in October 2006. Sewan organization for women was e

stablished by hands of young ambitious women who believes in women rights and to live with dignity. The administrative staff are volunteers from the society who believes that the change they want to make in their society should be in cooperation with educated people and to help those in need especially the vulnerable groups in the society like women and children. In the beginning of the organization establishment, all activities were carried out on voluntary basis by the administrative staff. These activities were carried out with the coordination of governorate, women union and youth unions. The organization first activities were done in rural areas were women are still living under men domination and suffer from depriving from their legal rights of education.
