ئێستا ساجیدە دوکانی خۆی هەیە بۆ چاککردنەوەی مۆبایل و فرۆشتنی پێداویستیەکانی، کە داهاتێکی جێگیر بۆ خێزانەکەی دابین دەکات و بەهێزترین نموونەی هیوای نوێیە بۆ کۆمەڵگەکەی.

From displacement and loss to rebuilding hope and independence, Sajida’s story is a powerful reminder of resilience and determination. 🌿

After years of hardship following the 2014 Sinjar crisis, Sajida Nimr Farhan, a Yazidi mother from Al-Qahtaniyya, transformed her life through vocational training, psychosocial support, and livelihood assistance provided through the Advancing Peace and Stability in Sinjar project, implemented by World Vision Iraq in partnership with UNDP Iraq and supported by the Peacebuilding Fund.

Today, Sajida runs her own mobile phone repair and accessories shop, creating a stable future for her family and inspiring her community with her strength and optimism.

“My dream now is to expand the shop and teach my children that even after everything we survived, we can still build a future.” ❤️

من النزوح والخسارة إلى استعادة الأمل والاستقلال، تروي قصة ساجدة معنى الصمود والإصرار. 🌿

بعد سنوات من المعاناة إثر أحداث سنجار عام 2014، استطاعت ساجدة نمر فرحان، وهي أم أيزيدية من ناحية القحطانية، أن تعيد بناء حياتها من خلال التدريب المهني والدعم النفسي والاجتماعي ودعم سبل العيش ضمن مشروع تعزيز السلام والاستقرار في سنجار، الذي تنفذه البصيرة العالمية العراق بالشراكة مع برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي وبدعم من صندوق الأمم المتحدة لبناء السلام.

واليوم، تدير ساجدة مشروعها الخاص لصيانة الهواتف المحمولة وبيع الإكسسوارات، لتوفر مصدر دخل مستقر لعائلتها وتلهم مجتمعها بقوتها وتفاؤلها.

"أحلم الآن بتوسيع المشروع وتعليم أطفالي أنه رغم كل ما مررنا به، ما زال بإمكاننا بناء مستقبل أفضل." ❤️

واصل برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي في العراق دعمه للإصلاح المؤسسي من خلال المشاركة في ورشة عمل نظمتها وزارة الداخلية بعنوان: "إضفاء الطابع المؤسسي على عملية تطوير استراتيجية وزارة الداخلية 2027–2030".

وخلال الورشة، قدم فريق البرنامج النموذج المتكامل للتحول المؤسسي والتخطيط المستقبلي، وأدار جلسة تفاعلية لتحديد الاتجاهات الاستراتيجية الرئيسية، والتحولات المؤسسية، ومواطن الضعف، ومستويات الجاهزية حتى عام 2030.

وتأتي هذه الورشة ضمن جهود البرنامج المتواصلة لتعزيز التخطيط الاستراتيجي القائم على التخطيط المستقبلي، ودعم التوافق مع البرنامج الحكومي واستراتيجية إصلاح القطاع الأمني.

شراكة فاعلة نحو مستقبل أكثر أمنًا واستقرارًا.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Iraq continued its support for institutional reform by participating in a workshop organized by the Ministry of Interior titled: “Institutionalizing the Process for Developing the Ministry of Interior Strategy 2027–2030.”

During the workshop, the UNDP team presented the integrated model for foresight and institutional transformation and facilitated an interactive session to identify key strategic trends, institutional transformations, and areas of vulnerability and readiness through 2030.

The workshop is part of UNDP’s ongoing efforts to strengthen foresight-based strategic planning and support alignment with the Government Programme and the Security Sector Reform Strategy.

An effective partnership towards a safer and more stable future.

بعد سنوات من النزاع والنزوح وعدم الاستقرار، بدأت فيان ميرزا بإعادة بناء حياتها، خطوة بخطوة. 🌱

فيان، وهي أم عزباء من قرية قصركي في قضاء سنجار بمحافظة نينوى، عادت إلى منزلها وهي مصممة على بناء مستقبل أفضل لطفليها رغم التحديات الاقتصادية والجفاف الذي أثر على المنطقة.

من خلال مشروع تعزيز السلام والاستقرار في سنجار، الذي تنفذه البصيرة العالمية
بالشراكة مع برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي وبدعم من صندوق الأمم المتحدة لبناء السلام، حصلت فيان على تدريب مهني، ودعم نفسي واجتماعي، ومساعدة مالية ساعدتها على إنشاء بيت زجاجي في أرض عائلتها.

واليوم، تعمل فيان على زراعة الفواكه الموسمية، وإعادة الاستقرار لعائلتها، وتعزيز ارتباطها بمجتمعها من جديد.

تقول فيان:
"عندما عدت إلى أرضي ورأيت البيت الزجاجي قائماً للمرة الأولى، شعرت أن الحياة تعود إليّ خطوة بخطوة."

After years of conflict, displacement, and uncertainty, Vian Mirza Jundi is rebuilding her life, one step at a time. 🌱

A single mother from Qasrki village in Sinjar, Ninewa Governorate, Vian returned home determined to create a better future for her children despite severe economic hardship and drought.

Through the Advancing Peace and Stability in Sinjar (A-PASS) project, implemented by World Vision Iraq
in partnership with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
and supported by the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund
, Vian received vocational training, psychosocial support, and financial assistance to establish a greenhouse on her family land.

Today, she is cultivating seasonal fruit, restoring stability for her family, and reconnecting with her community.

“When I returned to my land and saw the greenhouse standing there for the first time, I felt that life was returning to me step by step.” Vian Mirza

اجتمع برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي ولجنة الأمن والدفاع البرلمانية في مجلس النواب العراقي لمناقشة دعم تنفيذ استراتيجية الأمن القومي العراقي (2025–2030) واستراتيجية إصلاح القطاع الأمني (2024–2032).

وتركزت المناقشات على تعزيز الرقابة البرلمانية، ودعم الحوكمة الأمنية الرشيدة، وتحسين المساءلة المؤسسية بما يتماشى مع الأطر القانونية والدستورية. كما تم التأكيد على أهمية الرقابة القائمة على الأداء، والرصد، وتقييم الأثر لضمان استدامة الإصلاح.

UNDP and the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee of the Iraqi Council of Representatives met to discuss support for the implementation of Iraq’s National Security Strategy (2025–2030) and the Security Sector Reform Strategy (2024–2032).

The discussions focused on strengthening parliamentary oversight, promoting sound security governance, and enhancing institutional accountability in line with legal and constitutional frameworks. Emphasis was also placed on performance-based oversight, monitoring, and impact assessment to ensure sustainable reform.

UNDP reaffirmed its continued support to the Government of Iraq in advancing rule of law, security sector reform, institutional capacity development, and community security, while strengthening trust between citizens and security institutions.
